    Just got back a few days ago from your lovely country. It was great although I was only in Perth and areas around there.

    My mom is a visiting professor at UWA and I went out to see her over the holidays. She is living near the CBD so spent a fair amount of time in Northbridge also went to Freo, Cottesloe, City Beach and Rockingham. A bit further afield did a three day Margaret River /SW Australia tour and went to Rottnest Island for two days.

    Really enjoyed my time there and the weather was perfect most of the time. It got a little cool down along the Southern Ocean but around Perth it was generally sunny. Not too hot either with it getting to 38 C when I went to Cottesloe.

    The only drawback though was how expensive things were. The mining boom is driving the price up of everything. Even with that I would still pay $11 for a pint of Little Creatures Ale.

    Are there times car rental places close, how much for cab from hobby to league city?

    What about a gathering at Main Event on Saturday? Lots of kid friendly things to do there, while meeting up with Clutch Fans at the same time.
