So why is a big man like jokic able to lead a team like Denver without any star guards to the playoffs year after year. When his prime isn’t supposed to be 27/28. That’s bc his impact on winning is that much better

people have just been suckered for years into thinking AD is some great already

Look, I also do not think AD is among the best 3 but look at the PF position.

There won't be coming up much in the next years.
Zion isn't going to be used solely as a PF these days.
They use him as a small ball 5.

    Gets stuffed by long players.
    Porzingis has ways to go.

    Giannis is the only one.

The big Garnett and Duncans will go extinct.
And you see 6'7 and 6'5 PFs.

At same stages in career you could compare KAT and AD as well

    daywalker, stop...

How are u an MVP level player, but only won over 40 games twice in your career? Now he’s joined Bron and become the 2nd fiddle he always should’ve been.

MVP level player? No. MVP level stats? Yes.

I like how the explain Harden's impact on the game .
How EVERYONE is trying and doing HIS STEP BACK THREE
He may not have invented it but he made it fashionable

I believe the Rockets as now constructed are better than the Lakers. I believe the 5 out Rockets are a 65 win regular season team and superior to the 2017-18 squad. Since the institution of small ball and the RoCo trade, the data supports this. The Rockets win over the Lakers supports this. Both teams are 9 - 2 in their last 11, but Lakers only have 2 quality wins (Nuggets, Celtics) while the Rockets have 5 (Jazz x2, Celtics, Mavs, Lakers). The Despite the Lakers averaging 11 more rebounds a game over that span, the Rockets are averaging 4 less turnovers a game which nullifies the 4 more offensive rebounds that the Lakers get per game. The 7 extra defensive rebounds (which translate into 7 more points because of the Lakers 49.8% FG%) is vastly out paced by the Rockets 6 more made threes per game (18 points). Rebounds are vastly over-rated, especially defensive rebounds. The math proves this and the Rockets win the math against the Lakers (the Bucks may be a different story).

I don't disagree with anything you are saying. Let's keep in mind that 3 weeks ago people (including on this board) were talking about how terrible the trade was and how it was committing us to failure.

It is possible the Rockets are the best team in the WC right now. But this is an experiment, and there isn't a large body of evidence to point to whether or not this will work in a seven game series against the Lakers.

Our 3 point shooting has been lights out. Is that because of spacing or because the team is hot right now? Let's see how this team does on a more pedestrian shooting night. I am just saying the sample size is very small.

It looks very promising, but it's very early. And the Lakers are more the known quantity and offer up a line-up than can match us in many ways.

AD was dumpster fire bad in New Orleans. Now, AD second best in the west. Don't forget who iced the all star game? AD?
Can Harden win an allstar game? with small ball?

i always say this and u do see in some media top 10 they have him around 8-9 which I get.

he’s a top 3 talent in the game he’s not a top 5 player though. Their is a difference.

Garnett and Duncan could play in any era. Greek freak is pretty much Garnett 2.0

Those CFers were buying into the ignorant media narrative.

There were many CFers who understood the trade and believed the math that supported it.

Experiment is just another word for doubt and not believing their own eyes, never mind the data confirmation.

Didn't we beat the Celtics right after the trade shooting like 25% from 3? Locked them up on defense IIRC

Yes, but they are the more talented team.

    LOL

And the Rockets cannot win against the Lakers height. Even when they have shown they can, convincingly.

    LOL

I think it's a fallacy to put too much emphasis on regular season games
