    James Harden’s last 5 games:

    Mavs — 21/10 on 5-17
    Pacers — 15/12 on 5-14
    Magic — 15/13 on 6-13
    Lakers — 20/9 on 7-14
    Lakers — 16/6 on 5-16

Averaging 17 points, 10 assist on 37% FG.

Only a true homer would believe this team can still contend. Don’t even think we’ll make the playoffs. With Harden looking the way he has, should we be worried? Is he tanking his value?

Yes. Every game we get smashed his trade valuation goes down.

His peak was Simmons and picks. I don't think we get that now. We are looking at something like OG, Pascal Siakam and a pick of two.

Man that would be so sad but you might be right. We need to get a third team that is crap to give us their first round picks. Our only hope for the future is landing a superstar with one of these picks.

I honestly think this is what I’m actually most pissed about tonight. I don’t typically make angry posts, but not only are we refusing to trade him, but we’re simultaneously diminishing his trade value which hurts the team the most in the long run after he is gone to another team and back to averaging 30 and 7.

I don’t even think there was a trade involving Simmons.

lol, enjoy whatever we end up getting back for Harden...we’ll see how quick it takes for people to turn on whoever is left to pick up the pieces post-Harden after wanting to get rid of James for years

Unlike fans, teams don’t think in a universe of five games.

    YUP.

Easier to say this in hindsight, but we should have sold high on Harden after those first 2 games.

No one is pretending that trading Harden is going to make the team better in the short term. It's for the far future and hoping we land a young stud with one of the picks we get for Harden.

We will accept injured Dinwiddie + filler and we’ll like it!

And then risk Harden playing out his contract and going away with nothing in return leaving a darker future for the Rockets?

I think teams will have issues with what they want to give up for sure

I see this as hardens biggest issue to opposing teams

How can harden fit in when not the harden show. He can't have the ball in his hands all the time and will he commit to defense

rebuilding in the nba is almost impossible if you don’t hit on a draft pick. How long have the pistons, kings, wolves, suns been building. Those teams went like over 10 years without making the playoffs. Then you have the knicks lol

I'd settle for Herro and Robinson at this point, but I doubt they're available either.

Yes we should be extremely worried. Harden can't blow by anybody and he's about to become an expiring contract.
