We should bring in everyone from Venezuela thru the open border policy. Take them all in and give them free stuff
Yes I do understand this, however they have the right to pick their own government even if it leads to them starving. You say that they didn't pick it, but they voted for Hugo Chávez thus they voted to starve. It is incredibly unfortunate, but children have to pay the price for the sins of their parents. Hopefully when those children grow older (those that survive), they'll make better decisions than their parents and they can get back to being one of the wealthiest countries in south America.
Middle East and South America should merge into two States: 1- one for those who want to fight imperialism,but can't run a gas station 2- another State for those who are grown up and know their limitations and acts accordingly as for Trump, he seems to fantasize of having his Crimean peninsula
You and many others care more about politics than people. What's happening here and many other places is more than unfortunate, it is crimes against humanity. You would look out your window, let your neighbor's house and children in it burn to the ground, while muttering your neighbor should have bought better smoke alarms.
I agree that Marxism is a crime against humanity and that it causes poverty, starvation, and death everywhere it is tried.....but you have to allow people to have the right of self government. If they are dumb enough to be Socialists then they are actively asking for their children to starve, but that's their right.
I agree 100% it is a terrible situation but I am not sure how we can help them. How do we help them other than regime change? Do we invade their air space and airdrop aid? An outright invasion? Do you think it is bad enough for us to go to war with them?
You acknowledge this but don't care which is my original point. Your words shocked me. Perhaps help your neighbor's children and after they're safe and have calmed down explain to them how it could have been prevented. Instead you look out your window and say not my problem as those children die.
I am not Bobbie but it is easy to help my neighbors children who are right next door. It is not a crime to go to their house and offer help. I am pretty sure I would end up incarcerated if I ventured into Venezuela as most socialist dictatorships protect their borders fairly well and do not just let people in.
I don't want war and should be a last resort. But I will ask you this, Maduro is not accepting foreign humanitarian aid from anyone, why? Because it would be an admission their socialism failed he knows the power of help from somewhere else will have. Maduro like some here care more about politics than human beings. That's why domestic (White & Blue Helmets for example) and foreign aid should be a priority. Governments should "force" Maduro to except aid, his goverment be dammed. Aid is my weapon of choice at this time.
It is a terrible situation. I am not sure what the answer is. I am not sure how we would force him to take aid other than just air dropping it or through force meaning an invasion.
So if your neighbor abuses his wife and kids you'd go over there, break into the house and kill him so that it would no longer happen? That's really what you are talking about here. Also, when you break in to kill the husband, you might have to kill the wife and a kid or two if they try to defend the husband/father....but yeah, all worth it right?

You still are somehow finding a way defend Venezuela’s government. Chavez and Maduro have destroyed Venezuela. They are dictators that have raped their people and ran the nation into the dark ages. Chavez and Maduro are disgusting and I fail to see how any sane person can defend the Venezuela government.
