Who makes the best Oktoberfest? Shiner, St Arnold, or Karbach? I generally trust karbach the most, but I haven't tried any of them
Ruby Redbird is my JAM. Not a big fan of Oktoberfests in general, I find it difficult to drink more than one in a sitting.
This is all true, but how much water is there? Wanna know how the TPWD automated phone system says Pedernales? "P.D.R. Nails". Took me 3 tries to speak their language. Minimal water in the rivers, plus there's a burn ban. FYI. Oktoberfest ain't all bad. Working on 4 of 6.
What would be our best bet for hiking/camping AND swimming hole? And shiners? Maybe we should just chat this weekend yo.
Bump... has anyone had any sightings this year in Houston? It's supposedly been out for weeks, but I haven't seen it anywhere. Opening Day without Ruby Redbird feels like something is missing...
Nope, and I was at Specs yesterday. I read my post on the first page and now I'm all :/. I've become a IPA snob. I can't even drink anything without some good hops. Hopefully my love for Redbird hasn't disappeared.
Bought some when I was up in College Station this past weekend. They just had it at a random gas station.
I'll be stopping by the Krogers on Studemont after work and they usually have it before anyone. I'll let ya know.
black lager is by far shiners best brew. not hating on shiner but they have become more watered down over the past ten years. so is expected with mass commercial brewing though. as for the ruby red, the closest comparison to that stuff is drinking this: Spoiler perfume
Found a 12 pack in cans at a Kroger in The Woodlands the weekend before last. In Austin, all I can find are the 24oz bottles, which is what I usually drink anyway. Love that it's back!
Found a Twelve of cans today at the Krogers on Studemont. They guy was just unloading a truck and was stocking them as I walked in. He had 24 12 packs and they were gone in 20 minutes. Weird, I thought everyone hated this beer. I'm on a Stone IPA, West Coast IPA and Lagunitas kick as all of the Texas IPA's suck, but I just love the Ruby when it's hot outside. Glad it's back and stocked in my garage beer/Smart Water fridge. **** off hippies.
The HEB across the street ALWAYS gets beer first, more of it, and a better selection. If they have some in the back they will usually give it to you too.
Your beer to water ratio needs a little work. I've seen it at the Kroger's on Buffalo Speedway.
