wtf! Makes ZERO sense unless there's smth we don't know. Like Ayton having some injury questions. Teams don't fire GMs at this time of the season. Free agency is over, draft is over and he even hired a new coach.
If it was another team I would think that the GM opposed a owner trade and got himself fired. However this guy was a doormat. That's why I don't blame him for the decisions he made because they were from the meddling of the owner.
So strange. It can’t be for basketball reasons at this time of year. Maybe the owner caught his wife cheating with the GM?
Woah, kinda shocking tbh...not sure what to think about this, i'm not a fan of how MCD worked in Phoneix, but after many years i was expecting them to start a decent path now with Ayton, Jasckon and Booker...and now this...
You know that Morey just stopped in the middle of his dump to speed dial the Suns with 20 scenarios for the Rockets to end up with everyone from Chander to Warren........ to a 12 team trade where the Rockets end up trading the right to Malik Badiane for Butler and LeBron's fist born son.
This makes a little sense. In Sarver's viewpoint at least. Apparently he wanted even more of a yes man? At the very least the previous GM was a competent lawyer who managed to save the Morri from getting arrested. Now it will be a complete idiot who takes the job.
Kevin McHale: "Y'know, Robert, there's been a lot of airplay that Glen Taylor has now taken over your position as the worst owner in the NBA" "Hold my beer"
The writing was on the wall for awhile. The deals for Anderson and Ariza were desperate. Everyone knew that they over paid for Ariza in this market place. I thought he was gone after this season. Part of the issue is that McDonough had a bad reputation in player circles and was considered someone that did not know how to handle people. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in Boston where he will be behind the scenes.
