No guarantee he was going to leave though. He's a coward for joining them in the first place though.

Knicks have 30% chance to sign kd before kd injury.

Now what should knicks do? Give him 3year max? Who is going to lead them to beat bucks, 6ers.

For those saying his teammates pressured him back, please explain. Need some enlightenment.

I think there are still 10% chances GS medical team is wrong.
    MRI says no tomorrow.

GS starters are mature, must be bench guys to force him.

    Not Achille, 10% chances.

    It is lower leg.

Its 100% a fully ruptured achilles. It's clear on the slow mo replay and how it looks after Durant was playing with it when he was down on the court.

I think the injury limits his options so instead of risking it to go to bad team he will opt in and try next summer.

    1. He's the top guy, or one of the top guys -' haters come with that territory.

    2. He's not an NBA superstar in traditional sense, he does not dominate with his athleticism or overwhelming physical prowess.

    3. He's a nice guy. Like, an actual nice guy. There are people out there who detest nice people, especially nice men.

    4. His wife...this is a tricky. There are people out there that don't like him, his game, or the Dubs, but they wouldn't mine taking a shot at his wife, though. On the other hand, some despise his wife, because they think she is overexposed or Kardashian-attention level w#oring.

    5. He's the son of an NBA vet who had his own successful career, as well. And, they want to smash his mom's ... wife without any type of mercy.

    6. He's being compared to legendary players and getting more accolades for being great shooter or being considered the greatest. He makes easy, because does effortlessly and efficient. Most shot checkers cost their team's some vital wins. For some reason, it's sacrilege to call him the 'greatest or 'one of the greatest shooters.

    7. He's well-spoken.

    8. He has riches to more riches story.

    9. The light-'skinned' Black dude.

    10. He plays golf, he LOVES golf.

    11. He's short in NBA terms. There's something weird about small professional athletes, like professional wrestler. "You have to be a larger than life person...to be a champion.

    12. That damn mouthpiece chewing, LeBron does it, too. But, not as flagrant as Steph.

Durant is getting the max. No doubt about that. That's his market value. even at 75% he's better than most of the league and he's a superstar that will fill the seats.

If it's not from the Warriors or Knicks it'll be from someone, the Nets, someone. If he really wants the max he gets it. For the Warriors, they still have every reason to resign him even if it is serious and he misses most of next year...so what? They are still better than like 24 teams without him. Especially regular season.

If they said complete achiles tear, that’s something you just don’t miss on a physical exam. Very very apparent. The nature of the injury, combined with professionals palpating it and checking the ROM makes it 99% the case...

I feel bad to agree with this but same thought crossed my mind. Given how everything played out, I wonder if Durant would make the same choice again if he were to redo it.

If they lose KD to free agency, they'd lose their JOKER card. Problem, like you said they are still better than like 24-26 teams. Also, throw in the fact that might be able to sign some great role players, along with those yearly ring-chasers near end of their careers.
