You’re absolutely right this is league altering. Plans may be changing all across the league as I type this. Only way he leaves imo (if he was actually going to) Is if someone throws the max at him regardless of the injury which is highly doubtful.
See as much as you might not like him, at least Curry is genuine up there. Have no doubt he's actually holding back tears.
Stephen A. Smith said that he'd sign for the Knicks even with an Achilles tear. We'll see if the Knicks feel the same way.
So this is a common theory in soccer, I wonder if anyone has thought about: I wonder how much Nike pressured Durant to play in a Finals dominated by New Balance and Under Armour?
KD never should’ve played. I thought the initial injury against us was an Achilles injury, but they labeled it a calf strain. I just assumed I was wrong. They rush him back, and now he really does have an Achilles injury as a result right when he’s about to be a free agent. Wow, and they had the nerve to be questioning KD’s injury?
KD is worth the max even if his driving game drops by 25%. He'll get the max. Won't be a Carmelo. In a year or two, he'll be a C in this league anyway. Nothing changes as far as: he was never able to lead a team not filled with 2-3 other stars to a title. Still the case. If the Knicks/KD thought that he would Hakeem their way to a title, that was a pipe dream anyway.
LeBron wouldn't want to waste a year... I like the idea of him opting in, forcing the Warriors to pay him for at least one more season, and then moving on in 2020.
Yep, shouldn’t have played. Gotta wonder if there was pressure to come back early. I just wouldn’t risk it with such an important offseason. I mean I know, you play for these moments, but... I get it, he’s one of the best and he wants to win, but damn. Warriors lose and it only makes him look better imo. Shows the Warriors need him to win it. Hate to think like this, but hope KD was being fed the proper info needed this whole time.
