It’s very clear that we need a JGreen replacement soon. He will have his career but not on a defensive minded, well coached team. It’s not just a slump. He just doesn’t fit anymore. Cam can be a good backup. Amen is rather a PG and will grow into his starting spot while being mentored by VanFleet. We need an upgrade at the 2. A ballhandler and around 20ppg SG. What are your suggestions ?
Just sub JGreen for a while similar to "mystery illnesses" of Sengun in Silas-era. The boy never came from the bench. Educate him and gain him back. He has talent but not having the right attitude. He will learn and will become 25-28 ppg player.
jordan poole is still young and after him sucking in dc and being humbled, maybe sudoku can fix him up
The Bogdanovic boys are in their 30s, too old to trade a young Jalen Green for...Malik Monk is a streaky scorer as well, prefer to keep Jalen Green over Monk. The trade market for SGs is very limited right now...I think we should ride it out with our current roster, continue to develop our young players, maintain our salary cap while trading for valuable contracts so when the opportunity to trade for a Superstar then we'll be in the right position to make a trade
Yeah but you are not getting a 25 year old prime scorer without giving up Sengün or Jabari. 30 year olds who can score 18 ppg easily are not real bad. You do not even have to give up Green. Green is not going to be extended if he stinks it up, he can go anywhere.
30 year old foreigners rarely voice their frustration, they get their paycheck and they keep on making treys.
Houston fans are the worst...smh, yes Jalen Green is struggling and definitely can see his confidence is rattled at the moment. He's too good of an asset to trade away for a bag of chips. There is no player currently available that we can trade for who will make us NBA champions this year. We dont have a championship roster - Rome is not built over night my friends...Therefore, we need to hold on to our valuable assets, continue to develop them so when their stock is high you'll get optimal return on your investment.
Myself and others have suggested Dejounte Murray. He only makes 16/yr....can bust it from Downtown, plays bigtime D, and has a great handle (we need another) ...DM can play either guard spot... Atlanta is headed down... My only concern is that they gave up all their future draft assets for him.
Okay, but trading a valuable young asset at what cost? So we can win 5 more games this season to get knocked out the first round? Those guys are older and once their contract is up, they'll move on to a more championship-ready team to try to win a ring. You trade for a Bogdanovic type of player when you have an establishment roster like the Lakers, Bucks, Celtics who have multiple playmakers and all you need is a veteran play who can spot up shoot. We have too many holes in our current roster where we can make small moves to upgrade while protecting our young valuable assets. That's what made Daryl Morey such a great GM...he understands stocks, assets, etc
He's the only upcoming SG still in his 20s, in his prime that will become a free agent that you may be able to offer a nice trade package while keeping your core players intact
Do whatever it takes to get Malik Monk. Forget Mitchell. He shows up in playoffs, is very reliable 3pt shooter, he can create his own shot and he wants to play defense. Dude averages 5 assists a game are you kidding me? He's athletic too. His true shooting in the last 4 seasons are 56.9-59.7-58.7-58.2. The guy could be the most underrated shooting guard in the entire league. We need him. Also Bogdanovic? YES. That dude with a slightly bigger role is a 20 ppg guy. Incredible shooter.
Meh, he had his opportunity to be the guy...also, why would the Kings trade him??? Fox and Monk are Boyz/former teammates in college and he's an integral piece to their roster.
