Using the death of 5 people to make some kind of ignorant political point is pretty sad even for you tex. TELLING
Nice genetic fallacy. Too bad you only have logical fallacies to argue with. You're the one making the claim, it is up to you to back it up with evidence. TIA.
I did dispute the content. Learn to read and to quit simply lazily using your new favorite phrase "genetic fallacy". I'm sure you think you are really smart using this word, but at least use it where it makes sense. It didn't in this thread.
The hypocrisy in this thread has been brought out saliently. After each mass shooting in America, Obama is tripping over himself to lecture the public regarding how we need common sense gun laws in America. Yet when I do the same thing regarding this tragedy in Canada, the liberals are offended and put out. Hypocrites.
You disparaged the source, never addressed the content, which is the very definition of the genetic fallacy. Try again, rookie.
The difference, of course, is the number of mass shootings in Canada versus the United States. Look at the statistics.
Shouldn't you hold yourself to a higher standard then Obama? And people are upset because that was your intent for starting this thread. Also, you fail to acknowledge the evidence provided by North and just ignore any stats that go against your beliefs.
I referenced the murder rate in the US, which blew up his biased point from Mother Jones. Read the thread, son. Gladiato- you do the same.
Love how gun nuts cry about politicizing American mass shootings but are ok to do it with Canadian ones to try to put together a specious argument. Good job bigotexxx
So apparently everyone including lil'tex is in agreement. The U.S. does need common sense gun control policy, and should follow Canada's lead with stricter gun laws (since far fewer mass shootings happen in Canada than in the US). And perhaps the U.S. and Canada both should consider even stricter gun laws (adressing lil'tex's concern that the fewer number of gun-related deaths in Canada should be addressed). Thanks for raising this lil'tex!
Read for comprehension, son. What I have proven in this thread, beyond any doubt: 1. Liberals are complete hypocrites on the topic of gun control 2. Mass shootings do not always correlate with strict gun laws.
Actually you have proven this: 1. You are a bigot hypocrite 2. You don't know what correlation means.
The president directs the politics in the country. Don't let your racism against the leader of the free world affect your judgement. He specifically stated he would politicize all mass shootings.
Interesting to note that Canada (far fewer gun-related deaths and mass shootings AND stricter gun laws), also sees the shooting in question as related to tragic and alarming social indicators and that this was possibly the result of cutbacks in school and other social services. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jan/25/canadian-mp-says-la-loche-shooting-shows-tragic-plight-of-first-nations
