    Having The guard come set the first screen as opposed to the big is the main difference in the play . Sure the defense not cheating and spacing provided by Ariza are noted benefits the rockets enjoyed ... But the Crux of the play was the order of the screens.

    Furthermore , the two screeners got way too clumped up .

    Finally , despite all of this , a pass to oladipo had a fair shot at producing a better look , and it would be hard for it to produce a worse one than the shot Russ took .

    I agree - a pass to Oladipo would have led straight into a PnR with Adams, and Harden would then have to help off Grant in the corner. Oladipo would be able to choose between taking it strong against Harden or passing it off to Grant for the corner 3, a shot that Grant had just hit a few minutes prior. Instead, Russ crossed over back towards the sea of Rocket players and took a super hard shot. Thanks Russ, you the real MVP

    Conclusion: Harden plays winning ball and russ doesn't. The difference in what makes an mvp and what doesn't.
