So I was in the sprint store in sugarland on labor day and i see Travis Johnson walk in with a woman (his wife maybe?) who was pretty normal looking. what shocked me was that he had on a TITANS shirt! i almost second guessed if it was him, but then he came directly next to me and spoke to the sales rep clearly saying his name was Travis Johnson. what do you guys think about a player on one of our teams sporting a shirt of another team (let alone a rival team).
I do not like it. He was just supporting his good friend Robaire Smith, who was signed by the Titans.
Hey,Travis can wear anything he wants so long as he continues to grow into what we all thought he would be when we drafted him. There appears to be major progress of late.....Gonna live up to billing I think, which is going to make our line monstrous.Dropping Robaire really shows the confidence Kubiak has in him. I'm an Oiler fan.So Bud and the Titans bother me, But he and that team are entertwined with our city just a litttle bit. And Bud played a major role in getting pro football where it is. I don't have a problem with his wearing somebody elses lid and the years have softened my feelings towards Bud too.
yeah..but travis didn't grow up here. his mind should be on beating the crap out of the titans 2x a year.
I haven't been impressed by TJ, he has pretty much done nothing so far in the NFL, just like his fellow FSU d-linemen, Jamal Reynolds, Andre Wadsworth, etc.. As far as the Titans gear, I couldn't see an NFL player wearing the shirt of another team, let alone a friggin division rival. Could be some sort of superstion or perhaps the losing end of a bet.
Agreed, let there be no doubt the man needs to be fockassed on his objective. On TJ,he's stepping up NOW.The switch from the 3-4 to the 4-3 helps, but he's just growing up.Johnson has a coach that believes in him and he's not having to think as much out there. That mid first round talent IS starting to show.
I can't say it doesn't bother me, but as it pertains to his performance on the field I don't think it really matters one way or another...so, whatever, I guess.
