Yes, he does dive around for a loose ball.....but usually because it's bounced off his stone like hands.
Ryno at the minimum? I must be dreaming. Too bad we have to give up an FRP and Melton to come full circle. I'll take it. Ryno didn't lose his shooting touch, Suns just sucked last year and the dude lost all his confidence by the time he got to Miami. Russ and Harden will get that dude some easy shots and we will be rolling.
Useful for end of quarter spots where we need a stretch 4 on offense, sneaky good signing. Other than that I don't see how he cracks the rotation hardly ever.
you are too low on tucker, harden, and rwb and i don't think Nene cracks the rotation a lot of the time. The 0 guys look pretty good, although I think Ryno gets spot minutes at C for offense at end of quarters.
Thought someone bumped an old thread...and then looked at the date. Wow! As many have said already, whatever his new contract is it won't cost the Rox much. And Anderson can legitimately shoot (and play post defense too). Though he definitely has his flaws, Road Ryno is REAL. HE'S REAL, I TELL YOU! If he's healthy, I'm pretty sure he'll make the team. How many minutes he plays, though, is up in the air. I can't wait til the season starts, NBA blue balls is the worst
At this point in Ryno's career, I see him giving the same output as Faried during the regular season.. come play off time it won't matter because D'Antoni doesn't play anyone outside of his too 8 or 9 players. Then again we aren't going to need Ryno to get past GSW anymore
When this dude is ON he just nails 3 after 3 after 3 so effortlessly. A thing of beauty. What is the team joke with him regarding hair care? Is it tons of hairspray to hide his ever-quickly receding hairline??? (Ryno's own words if I recall). It was on one of those rockets insider interviews. Any who- I like this.
If Harden wants Ryno to stay, Ryan will stay. He gives Harden more space to drive. That was one thing I think Harden missed in the last season. I think he will stay.
Ok after Thabo, Tyson and Ryans signing i think we are almost there. Too bad league ****ed with us on Nene cause we would take a dog midseason and we would have best roster in the league
Working for pennies it's impossible to not love this deal. Anderson was comically overpaid when he was here, but he has a potentially valuable skill that can add to our matchup flexibility. If he's still scared to shoot then adios.
Harden Gordon Tucker Ryno With Russ going to the rim in full bore attack mode, that lineup means there is no chance hell the defenses can collapse on him since you can’t leave anyway of those guys open on the perimeter so it will be Russ one on one with any defender foolish enough to think they can stop Westi in attack mode.I had high hopes for Bennett but it seems the Rockets have seen enough that he might not be enough hence the Ryno signing. I think Anthony and someone else will get cut
boy im pumped, Ryno gives us rebounding too. Of course we can't run him against Steph or Lillard but why not against let's say Clippers or Lakers?
LACK OF COURAGE. I hate this signing but I am going to pretend that reality doesn't exist and chalk that all up to his pressure based on his contract and not performing. Now he is just trying to play. We needed defense and rebounding and he gives us none of those things. Every minute he is on the floor needs to be about him launching, NOT FAKING OR DELAYING. I am thinking this is tied with Brodie on the fastbreak. When he and Gordon hit the wings and launched those 3s with no care from 30 they went in and were deadly. That is the only time he is valuable on the court. I don't care if he misses 5 in a row. If he gets the ball he better put the damn thing up and he better play like a man possesed on D and the boards. Morey and he cost this team A LOT. Without CP3 the Rockets ran at a fast pace and focused on efficiency but lost surprise and flexibility. As long as CP3 was effective it made the team more effective. This to me screams the Rockets are going back to the pace of Ryno's first season to maximize the effectiveness of Brodie. Brodie on the break will have a much higher shooting and efficiency %. Much like the Rockets last year, when he is stuck in the half court he is much easier to guard and will chuck. The Rockets cannot be that early 3Q team that gets lazy and bored and launches 3s. They were easier to guard later in games because they never wore the other team out and always had to work harder for their baskets. To me the fastbreak is the key to unlocking the optimal efficiency of Harden and Brodie. CP3 overhwhelmed teams by confusion after Harden tortured them. Brodie is a lesser clone of Beard and will just wear them down. We never really had the 30/30 or 40/40 combination going that truly decimates other teams with real dual threats. CP3 was really just a ball handler with minimal offensive pressure. Like Game of Zones this is the double the offense option D'Antoni was mentioning.
he played well against SA....he was unplayable against golden state i think they brought him in for the lakers and clippers......I think he can box out Dwight and punish him on the other end, making dwight unplayable, making them move AD to center. Against the clippers i think he can hold zubac and harrell.
