As usual, Astros are the scapegoat for what everyone was doing.

The only scapegoat was Luhnow. The only one that paid a price was the best GM in baseball who wasn't directly involved. Still pisses me off that he has been blackballed

Giving up Teoscar Hernandez for Francisco Liriano was pretty bad, too.

Yeah but at least Liriano recorded an out in game 7 vs the Dodgers. I also didn't like that Aoki was part of the trade.

Unless he has evidence or a player willing to come forward, this means less than nothing.

You guys are gonna drive yourself crazy constantly looking for vindication. Did other people cheat, certainly. Did they cheat as badly, maybe. Either way, we drew the short straw having a snitch

Don't let yourself be hung up on things you can't change.

Agree. Baseball would prefer to blanket this guy and probably will. As far as the pitching scandal, the people are ok with the escape clause that everyone was doing it, and that's going to make it forgettable. Nobody cares because nobody is in denial mode. As far as the Astros end game, this will go no better than the Lance Armstrong story. It's cooked until we are at least a century removed.

Mike Fiers, Carlos Gomez for Josh Hader, Brett Phillips, Domingo Santana, Adrian Houser

    Worst Trade of All Time.

I knew Josh Hader is a special Pitcher.
He was a Great Starter. He is even more Dominant as a Closer.

Joe Morgan and Rusty Staub say, "hi". I'll get some pushback, but I also hate trading the best bench in the freaking NBA for ****** Barkley way more than the Fiers-Goatmess/Hader-Phillips trade.

This guy needs to deliver the goods. I found him strange and aloof on the Matt and Adam show yesterday afternoon. Seemed like he was picking a bone with the baseball writers and just taking random shots. Talk is cheap. There were receipts to indict the Stros in the court of public opinion, and this guy needs to do more than just yip yap. Lets get down to the nitty gritty with this thing and rub MLBs nose right in their own pile of sht.

Man I absolutely ****ing agree with you.

From his perspective I think he’s trying to let information out but not burn all of his baseball friends too.

For me this is like a weatherman saying that rain will make you wet, it's what I assumed to be true all along based on the entire history of the sport.

Chase Utley is the greatest living sign stealer in baseball history. If the bench coach farts, Chase can tell you what he had for lunch.

He is a notorious cheat.... but because he is scrappy and "plays the game the right way", it is okay.

I find it fascinating that none of the retired baseball players have spoken up on the current atmosphere of cheating. I believe back then cheating was more prevalent because we didn't have this expansive use of social media.

What would they have to gain by spilling trade secrets?

This still goes back to what did Fiers have to gain? Did he sell this story to avoid them printing another story about him?
