Rush Hour 2 was a hilariously funny movie. It was one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. I think it was funnier than the first one, I don't know if it was a better movie, but it was funnier. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker have great chemistry together, and their acting styles fit together perfectly. What do you guys think about the movie? If you haven't seen it, I'd really reccommend it.

Unfortunately I never did see the first Rush Hour, but I went to see Rush Hour 2 last night and it was hilarious. I'm going to have to vote yes though, since I doubt the 1st one could've topped this one.

Btw that Isabella girl was hot as hell!

SteveFrancis3, you have got to see the first Rush Hour if you thought Rush Hour 2 was funny. It's pretty much the same style of comedy, and some of the funny jokes/lines in Rush Hour 2 refer back to the first Rush Hour, like the "Don't ever touch a chinese man's cd" line from Jackie was referring back to Rush Hour. In the first Rush Hour, Jackie changed the station on Chris Tucker's radio, and Chris Tucker responded with, "Don't ever touch a black man's radio!". Absolutely hilarious. You're right about Isabella, she's gorgeous. :) Any favorite lines from the movie?

BTW, thanks Clutch for editing my poll.

Well I'll have to try and see the 1st one. My favorite line was after Tucker said "I'll b****slap your ass back to the Ming Dynasty" early in the movie, then later on they were arguing and Chan said "I'll b****slap your ass back to Africa" or something like that :D. It was hilarious coming from him. There were other funny lines I can't remember right now, but the whole movie was hilarious especially the kareokee, binocular, massage place scenes.

Yeah, there's going to be a third Rush Hour. Didn't you head Chris Tucker reference to it in the outtakes, when he said, "Now you know that guy's not gonna be in Rush Hour 3".

I loved the line where the woman saw Chris Tucker while she was walking up the stairs and said "Move over Kobe" in chinese. Absolutely hilarious.

I saw the second one last night and thought it was funny. Tucker is one of the funniest actors. The "Kobe" reference was hilarious, but some other funny parts was when Chan asked Tucker, "Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?" and when he said, "Don't ever touch a Chinaman's Cd player!" These both referenced back to what Tucker told Chan in the first one.

I was super impressesed. One was pretty good also but I think two is better. This is one of those rare sequel is better than the original. I cant think of many others (T2).

A must see. I havent laughed this hard in an hour and a half since There's Something About Mary. The only thing I can complain about is the length, it felt a little short. But it was short and sweet.

One of my favorite lines was in the massage parlor when Carter was insulting Ricky Tan and stomping on his laptop and all of Tan's boys stood up and Carter was like; "Damn Lee, why didnt you tell me he rolled like this??" Great fight scenes again and the out takes were great also.

Cant wait for Rush Hour 3,4,5. I think Tucker mentioned there would be a few more sequels on some morning show. :D

yeah, the sequel was way better. hopefully the trend continues in 3,4,5....99 :)

and even though a lot of the jokes were exactly the same as in RH1 (only roles reversed), somehow they were as or more funny.

i wonder who was the guy who called tuckers cell in the last outtake.

Not too many movies live up to there hype, but Rush Hour 2 was as good as advertised. Not to take anything away from the first one, but the 2nd was simply awesome. It was a lot funnier than the first. When they introduced the girl and then talked about taking a trip to NY it reminded me of Lethal Weapon. It's just like when they added Rene Russo to the third installment.

Rush Hour 2 made 66.8 million in its opening weekend !!! It was the best debut ever for a comedy film and third best overall for a non-holiday weekend debut. Planet of the Apes is first and The Mummy Returns is second.

I lOVED this movie. I saw it on Friday and it was hilarious! A lot better that the original (not to say the first wasn't good in its own right). Tucker once again showed great comedic ability and timing. And Chan showed once again that he's the Ass Kicking King of the World. Right now it's pulling a 7.8 - 8.0 rating on IMDb.com, which is pretty damn good.

One famous movie critic, however doesn't agree with most of America: (Spoilers)

Ebert, Chris Tucker was damn funny in this movie. I can't help it if you weren't in on the joke (or just didn't get them).
Also, he got the casino scene all wrong. Tucker's character was only pretending to be offended so he could draw enough attention to himself to create a diversion for Chan to slip into another room. Once he was gone Tucker immediately dropped the act and began to play. How can one critique a movie when they don't even know what's going on screen?

This is the same guy who gave "Scary Movie" 3 out of 4 stars.

    So, whatever.

I say go see it. Not revolutionary, but a good time. :D

I thought it was tons better than the first. The chemistry between Tucker and Chan was outstanding, the fighting scenes much better, and the jokes 10 times funnier.

As for Ebert, I can totally understand why people wouldn't like Chris Tucker. While I love him, he's played pretty much the same exact character in all his movies, and if you don't like him, it would get kind of old.

There's one scene that really grates. The Tucker character finds himself in a Vegas casino. He throws a wad of money on a craps table and is given a stack of $500 chips. He is offended: It is racist for the casino to give him $500 chips instead of $1,000 chips, the dealer doesn't think a black man can afford $1,000 a throw, etc., etc. He goes on and on in a shrill tirade against the dealer (Saul Rubinek). The dealer answers every verbal assault calmly and firmly. What's extraordinary about this scene is how we identify with the dealer, and how manifestly the Tucker character is acting like a the seven-letter word for "jerk." Rubinek wins the exchange.

Did this guy even watch the movie?! He makes it sound as if Tucker's character actually threw a fit over the kind of chips, when in reality Tucker's character was just doing this to make a scene to get all the security guards' attention while Chan's character did his stuff with the money plates in the back.

Zhang Ziyi was really good in the movie for someone that doesn't speak English and is a dancer, not a martial artist.

This one has Zhang Ziyi in it. It's automatically better than the last one.
