Rumor: Marvel receives the rights to Fantastic Four from Fox (along with supporting characters)

    Fox and Marvel are currently denying this. We'll see.

    I would have just put this in the Fantastic Four thread, but who was going to read it?

    TLDR: As part of Fox/Marvel's agreement to collaborate on X-men spinoff shows (Legion, and Hellfire), Marvel received the movie rights to Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Dr. Doom, and Galactus. Huzzah! New Fantastic Four movie coming in 2020 with less suck.

    Now if we can only get them to **** up the X-men movies more...

    You haven't liked First Class and Days of Future Past? If anything the only good thing, comic wise, Fox has been able to do are the X-Men movies. Not counting the Wolverine movies of course. And X-3, that just sucked.

    I liked First Class, and Days of Future Past was okay. The issues I have is they completely **** on the source material for star power. I'm not going to go on a huge rant about this cus I've done it a lot more than once.

    You already know the next Xmen movie is going to be crazy Jennifer Lawrence-centric. I'm tired of that ****.

    They just make stupid decisions with the characters, like Bishop's power pretty much only being used to make a gun shoot better or (to jump to First Class), having Havok be older than Cyclops. Just stupidity.

    Like it was said in another thread I think, the villains are what make the license so important. Reed Richards is an important figure but the other 3... meh.

    Marvel's Spiderman is getting a movie but it isn't an origin story. Doubt F4 would get one.

    Having Doom, Silver Surfer, Skrulls, and Galactus in the fold will help them flesh out the GotG universe and Doom would be a perfect mega villian for the Avengers to unite against after Loki.
