    nor is Amare.

Actually, Jefferson has the potential to be a franchise player. We've already see all that Amare can do. He can't carry a team. Jefferson is arguable at least as good as Amare. And he may still improve.

Do you remember when he was putting up 38 points on duncan?

    He is pretty good.

Apparently the Suns made the offer and the Wolves declined...which is the same thing I would do if I was Minny

I'm not sure, but I think the knee will ultimately stop him reaching those levels again.

Additionally, his ability to put up big numbers is unproven without
a gun PG serving it up to him on a silver platter.

Amare has peaked. Al has not.

Amare is a better scorer. Al is not too far off. He doesn't have a top rate PG setting up for him like Amare does.

Al is a much better rebounder and defender. That is the most important thing that separates these two guys. If you want a franchise player to build your team around, you want a guy who can dominate on both ends. Al has the potential to be that.

this would only be slightly better than the Gasol for Kwame trade...

I wouldn't trade Jefferson for Amare straight up!

I do think that Amare will be traded this summer, but I don't see the Wolves moving Al Jefferson any time soon.

Pre-microfracture and when the Spurs decided to let Amare go off because when he did he forgot he had team mates which allowed the Spurs to take the series?

    I remember.
