Well at the moment he can not really defend either position, but I can see him developing his defense against other PFs because of his mass. He moves around other players like they are nothing when he is anticipating a rebound. But time will tell

Oh I know. I just think it's comical that he went on TV and said he was only sent down to the D-League because of his mental health demands. It's just even more apparent it was because his game needs a lot of work. He is good, he has hands and courtvision -- two things you can't teach. He will be good, if he can swallow his pride and understand he was sent down to the d-league to improve. Aside from that, the kid has a lot of potential...

Lack of defense was disconcerting at best, but it's clear we have a hell of a lot of young talent on this team.

Lack of defense is the NBDL's signature.

Jones and White... Both these guys would be better backing up Patterson than Morris.

He played Parsons his rookie year. If White can get into game shape and learn his defensive assignments McHale will play him...

Morey has White pegged as a 5. I, personally, somewhat agree as long as White chooses to moose around at 270+ lbs. Only way White could really work at the 4 or 3 would be for him to transform his body. Just don't know if he even wants to do that. I think he wants to run pick and pop for Harden/Lin and then become a secondary playmaker when he receives the pass. Defensively, who can he guard at 270+? I'd have to say he's got the bulk and the quicks to be adequate at the 5. However, defensively he is a HUGE question mark in every sense of the word HUGE.
