Lock/merge if already posted. https://official.nba.com/l2m/L2MReport.html?gameId=0041800221 According to this report, in the last 2 minutes, 3 missed calls against Houston. NONE against GSW. 2 fouls - one on Steph (would have been #6), and another on Steph (#7) - results? 4 FT's taken away (if i'm not mistaken, Rockets were in the penalty). In addition, if Curry's #6 gets correctly called, his 3 over Nene never happens... 1 missed travel by Klay - while this didnt affect the outcome of the score, the ref had a clear visual on this play happening. We can all see these on the TV, but refs are there courtside staring at the plays. All of a sudden, their vision became impaired.
You know, I'm not overly offended by any of those misses (it would have been really bold to call either relatively weak foul on Curry, and Klay's travel was subtle), but I agree they were all mistakes and it turned 4 free throws into 2 turnovers. In a game that tight, it matters. I do completely agree that Harden didn't deserve that 3 shot foul.
Bad call #1: Curry forces Harden out of bounds https://official.nba.com/last-two-minute-report/?gameNo=0041800221&eventNum=2235 Bad call #2: Klay travels https://official.nba.com/last-two-minute-report/?gameNo=0041800221&eventNum=2240 Bad call #3: Curry fouls Gordon https://official.nba.com/last-two-minute-report/?gameNo=0041800221&eventNum=2246
True... Harden gets undercut multiple times in the 1st half, gets hammered in the lane. No way they call a touch foul on the Golden Boy of the league and risk putting him on the bench with #6 Agreed on the last 3 point attempt by Harden. As the play happened, i was PO'ed a foul wasn't called. But after seeing the replay, Harden tried to sell it.
Literally could not care less. The refs aren't held accountable. The outcomes of the game doesn't change. The officiating in future games is never any better.
Man...you know I keep thinking that we are getting screwed over by the refs but in the back of my mind think that I have a fan bias but these reports are just straight concerning. The article on in the Athletic was particularly concerning because 93 points is insane.
The NBA admits THREE wrong turnovers in the last 2 minutes. Come ON. (Two turnovers and one shoulda-been.)
if it were consistently bad for both teams I could justify it as ineptitude but when it constantly benefits GS... it's wreaks of manipulation.
The Curry foul on Harden was HUGE! And I saw it in real time, so I don't see how the ref 5 feet away missed it. If that gets called, it's a 3-point game with 1:10 to go and Curry is on the bench with 6 fouls. Completely changes the dynamic of the final minute.
Get them some corrective glasses tinted red. Those blue and yellow glasses are difficult to have clear vision.
These reports are stupid when apparently they don’t hold anyone accountable. It just gives the league the look of oh we’re looking to correct these things and addressing them. FOH
last 2 mins report don't mean shiit if these refs were not held accountable.. nothing's gonna change. league office needs to keep its money cow happy..
video: https://official.nba.com/last-two-minute-report/?gameNo=0041800221&eventNum=2244 Reports say Harden offensive foul over Draymond Green? I don't understand. 00:17.5 To 00:04.4 Period: Q4 Time: 00:10.1 Call Type: Foul: Offensive Committing Player: James Harden, Disadvantaged Player: Draymond Green Review Decision: CNC Video Url: Video Comment: Harden (HOU) steps forward as Green (GSW) retreats, and releases the contact with his off-arm without going through his space.
Of the 3 missed calls in the last 2 minutes, this is the one that affected the game the most. That foul (at 1:10) should have been Curry's 6th, and he wouldn't have been on the floor to hit that 3-pointer 30 seconds later. EDIT: Oops. Already pointed out by someone before I arrived on the scene.
Plus it's a turnover. That gets called, we maintain possession to attempt 2 FTs, which is just as important as curry fouling out that late into the game.
