If Melo wants to go, let him go. This is a shitfest already don’t keep him on our team with issues. Thank him and say your goodbyes. I really hope Melo finds what he is looking for. Do you think the defense coach had something to do with this?
come on guys melo is washed, but we only pay him vet min. his production is still higher than last year's ryno. let's at least keep him till trade deadline and see what's what
I buy it. We learned our lesson from Ty Lawon. Instead of firing McHale we are cutting Lawson this time. Maybe it works maybe it doesn't but it's been bad and I think that's a smart move. I wanted Melo and thought it would work but it just isn't working and I think he's upset about how it's going so far. The first guy you posted is followed by CP3. I think he's getting cut. Maybe we are doing a trade with the Lakers using players who aren't eligible to be traded by doing a double cut.
I don’t see how Melo keeps being the scapegoat wherever he goes. He was the problem in certain instances in NY, but OKC and here he isn’t the problem.
Or it was a relatively low-risk signing in the big picture and if it didn't work, you could just cut bait. I do think it's convenient that both Melo and MCW are suddenly "ill." If Melo is out the door, I pray MCW is carrying his bags.
Zion isn't even the best player in that class. Can we all agree to stop it with the tanking talk? We have THE MVP on this team. Guys. He's actually pretty good!
Melo isn't the problem. This is just twitter rumors. (Now I would believe it if Melo said he's out since he's sacrificing a starting role and yet we're still complete dogshit).
It's not impossible — anyone on a minimum contract is inherently on a short leash and can go at any time, IMO. And the "cuffs" guy definitely has connections. That said, the timing doesn't make much sense to me, and that's why I'm highly skeptical. If they're doing this, why not just leak/announce it now and move on? Not sure why you'd feign an illness for him and stall the announcement for the middle of a back-to-back.
David Robinson was on the Spurs when they got Duncan. I'd take one terrible year to result in multiple decades of that level of competitiveness.
This is the only part that doesn't make sense to me. I'm not sure what you gain by delaying an announcement.
It's because the Rockets are always filled with drama and stuff. Also none of what the Rockets did this offseason makes any sense
We wanted him since forever and CP3 just made the final push. It’s not that low risk with his history and our coach and star players’ expectations. We got Ryno out the door and didn’t think of keeping Mbah since we were banking on Melo. The contract itself sure, but the circumstances makes it definitely more problematic.
