Blake's been the same player this year as he was last year, and the year before, etc. The stats go up and down a little by year, but if you just look at PER (i know, limited stat, but as an all ecompassing more offensive stat), his PER has been 21.9, 23.4, 22.4, 23.9, 22.8, 22.1, 22.6

He has another level as evidenced by his play in the playoffs in 14/15.

But he's always injured, apparently not a great locker room guy, and now has the stigma of not doing great in the clutch.

I don't see how he performs against the Warriors is all that relevant, unless he just completely sucks against them. Which he hasn't... he's been up and down against them the last three years. Otherwise, pretty much everyone is going to look shaky against the Warriors, they're a great defensive team.

Believe it or not, but because Morey is so open about managing the way he does, players don't take it as personally when they hear their names come up. They know it is just the way it is.

If Morey told them nothing and still managed the same way then there would be constant conflict.

Chris Paul would be ridiculous in this system. Absolutely insane. The Clippers had no one that could shoot besides Reddick. We'd have the floppiest backcourt of all time, though. Don't know how I feel about that.

Why so? If memory serves, we had Ron Artest on the roster and nothing happened...including playoff wins.

    I don't like Blake Griffin.
Please, someone give me a positive spin on what Blake Griffin could bring to the Rockets.

Remember the Harden/Josh Smith pick and rolls?

Blake Griffin would hit Clint Capela with 4-5 lob dunks. A PF that averages 5 assists a game is pretty unbelievable. His ball handling and vastly improved jump shot could make him incredibly dangerous in a D'Antoni system.

    exactly right.

aside from hayward who's not mentioned (probably because we don't have a shot at him), blake is my #1 target. harden needs a go-to scorer like blake... and blake's ability to facilitate is just a huge bonus!

cp3 and harden make an odd pair where neither is that great at playing off the ball. same with lowry, plus lowry never plays well in the playoffs. can't pair that with harden who also doesn't play well in the playoffs.

milsapp would be a great plan B to blake. better defensively, not as great offensively. Still gets a great amount of assists for a big. Blake is injury prone, but milsap is old. Neither are perfect but replace ryno with either one of them and we would've been in the WCF this year.

truth be told I think we have a good shot at blake and an even better one at milsapp. if they're leaving their teams its because they want to win. aside from boston, where else do they have a better chance? If hayward joins his college coach in boston, we're blake's next best option. if hayward takes the extra money in utah, blake goes to boston, and we get milsapp.

It's LaMarcus Aldridge play copied. Blake turns back to basket and dribbles the air out of the ball and
then settles for a fadeaway 10 to 12 footer. It's defensible by borderline cheating 3 second defenses
such as the Warriors. LMA, Melo & Blake are in that same mold category....with Melo being the one
that can extend the distance by shooting 3-pointers.

Rumors of San Antonio wanting to trade LMA for over a year because of that iso poor sharing style
less efficient brick laying game. Blake gives you that in spades. Blake was injured during 15/16 season
and the Clippers looked better as they ran more and were able to space the floor better.

Supposedly the reason Blake punched out a staff member friend of his was because that fellow mentioned
that the team was playing better without him. I'm hoping the idea of chasing Blake & others is smoke
and mirrors. CP3 & Blake want to get away from each other. So far the Rockets are getting/going
after everybody: CP3,Blake, Hayward, Paul George, Millsap, Lowry.....go ahead and add Butler, Melo
and Porzingis, Bosh, Durant, Curry, LeBron, Kyrie, K-Love, & everyone.

Right. I'd trade before Beverley anytime. Plus, Ariza.could fetch a good haul.
