I get your point, but he still shot over 50% from 2. The only thing that drags down his percentage is the 3 point number.
He's a loser buts he's our loser.. James Harden I hope you do stay a Rocket for a long time and figure out how to become a winner. Nothin but love from ISOBall
Yes, that's a big part too. I was just commenting on that guy's completely opposite assumption that if you have a high FTA, your FG% should be higher.
I guess. If anything any max deal is still a great deal for him. It kills any leverage Harden's agent might have to force his way out. I don't want to be in Indiana's position next summer.
Jim harden FG% is low because he has been mentally taken over by Steph Curry Ever since Curry won his 1st MVP when Harden thought it should be him, he has started jacking up 3's trying to be Curry. Last season Jim jacked up 9 3's a game making only about 3 of them......
Well the Rockets are definitely not trying to just make "little tweaks" like the Cavs. Should be an interesting summer.
[ You're version? The fact is Harden is a top 5 player, will finish second in the MVP race and has enterd his prime. No GM worth their salary would pass on a chance to re-sign him.
I'm happy for Harden. He deserves every penny he can get. When a guy like Ryno makes $20 million, Harden is easily worth $42 million per season over 4 years. Also, Harden will be 28 in August. This will be his final contract extension until he's 34. The Rockets are committing to Harden for life.
Those two points are not mutually exclusive. They both contribute to his low FG%. I was just more pointing out the opposite correlation that the other poster is making of "more FTA = higher FG%".
Why? Top players like Harden would be worth 60mil+ if it wasn't for max salaries. Any max salary is a good deal in the NBA for a top player.
I really don't care what Harden makes, we wont be true contenders until he gets real help on the court. Him and a group of role players wont cut it. It's looking like he has big playoff game performance issues so we really have to get another proven player or two that wont shrink up in the big moment.
Sure the guy ended the season by giving away game 5 with 3 consecutive turnovers... then for game 6 threw a hissy fit and quit... let's give him a raise! ...smh....
I dont expect any player to be infallible... I just expect them to do the best they can.... but evidently thats a crazy expectation....
Since you claim he's a great finisher around the rim, the analytically correct play would be to make the layup. Since we're a 3pt shooting team, it's not our prerogative to get our opponents into the penalty ASAP.
I'd rather our primary star didn't have huge weaknesses in his game, but that too seems to be a crazy expectation.
