With Nene, we don't lose Game 5. So I'm completely fine with bringing him back. Whatever the cost.

15/4 is like vet min contract, its just a bit more than 3M per year. There is no reason to use him as filler because the amount is too low unless Rox need a poopoo platter package where they get rid of like 5 guys to get 1 guy back.

This is more like retirement package for Nene, he probably sees himself playing for 4 more years and wants to do all of it in Houston. Obviously this is a bargain to keep him, I mean look at Pau Gasol how mich is he gonna resign for the Spurs?

Great move to secure our best big man for 4 years and a vet who can mentor Capela and our young bigs.

Hilarious watching a handful of posters claim this deal sucks...wtf?

First, he might not even play the 4 years. Second, he becomes easy trade bait after year 3. Third, even if he is on the books, he's essentially a minimum deal.

    Happy to have him back.

You don't really get much return on an investment paying today for what you received yesterday.

Nene was absolutely amazing for us for the contract he was on last season... exactly what we needed and I believe we would have been up sh*t creek without him.... solid, dependable, hard working veteran big man in a very very thin front court.

I love this move... so cheap and such a solid front court veteran.

It has to be team option oriented.

Mozgof doesn't even see the floor and makes like 10x that.

There's nothing dumb about it. The chances of him playing all 4 years is slim to none anyway.

And even if he did... he's 3% of the salary cap.

3% for a back up center.

Amazing signing. This is currently dirt cheap and will be great value down the road.

Nene's value in the locker room alone is worth every penny. We needed him, glad to have him back.

Like the signing. Nene doesn't take **** from anyone either so he brings toughness

Exactly. You just can't get quality like this at that tiny price. Great deal that won't hamper bigger fish.

The four years issue is almost irrelevant beyond being a small thank you gesture to the guy.
