We are in this situation largely due to our backcourt. I love Freddy and he brings a lot to the table, but his shooting has been inconsistent this year. Jalen has been terrible for most of the season. Both are playing extremely well right now. If they were playing this way earlier, the Rockets would be at a minimum firmly in a play-in spot, if not the playoffs. I think it’s a little too late but I’m still hoping for the best.
I don't think is specifical I dont think its that deep. I am pretty sure its just based off if the team is currently in the playoff/playins or not. Could be wrong.
I just want Rox to win 40 games. Going to 0.500 after being the worst team for 3 seasons is a hell of a jump already.
This stretch actually masks and put a veil over a stretch when the Rockets had 1 or 2 months of abysmal Offense and actually were at the same level with the Grizzlies, Portland and below the Jazz. If they were consistently a 0.45 pct team, I doubt that people would have been disappointed really before All Star Break. We would have expected insane inconsistency from Silas but that stretch was pretty ugly for Udoka even.
Not enough for us to catch them though. Best case scenario looking at their schedule, I could see them losing 8 games. That would mean they finish with 45 wins. The Rockets ain't matching that total.
with the zebras teaming-up with the lakers and warriors--IMO, we could only afford a loss to the wolves and one with Dallas
yep, another way I see is when the warriors implode along the way--- the team seem unstable and just barely holding
Honestly this just shows the absurd depth of the West. You have to be a .500 team just to be a 10th seed. I would say the 11th best western conference team is the same level as the 7th seed eastern conference team.
Warriors have a really tough schedule coming up. After playing the Pacers, they play 7 of the next 8 games on the road starting with 3 consecutive top 10 defensive teams. The only game they have at home is when they fly back from San Antonio for one home game against Dallas before flying out to Houston again to play us. They should be exhausted by the time we play them. Things are lining up for us nicely.
