Just found this quick interview (keep in mind it's a couple of days old so, prior to the Ibaka trade, and when there were rumors of Boston, Toronto and Clippers having interest in him) of his father which is also his agent and he basically said: "Danilo is happy in Denver and he would be ok staying there, but you know how it works in the nba, you never know what will happen. It would be nice to see him wear the Celtics, Clippers or Raptors jersey, teams with some sort of hole in that spot, not so sure about Orlando tbh. There's also a Houston Rockets hypothesis though, i never called Mike to sponsor Danilo, but i guess their interest comes from the chance to coach him again"
I've wanted Gallo as a Rocket for a long time. DG's a helluva player w/ big time talent.. If he can stay healthy, I see him being a monster in our system.
He would be one of the better small ball 4's so Rhyno can go back and take his place on the bench where he belongs. Get it done, Murray Brewer + Anus for Gallo
I'm cool with picking him up if the only player of consequence we give back is Brewer. Unlikely the Nuggets would trade him for Brew and picks though...
Been advocating for him all year. Would be happy parting with a package of brewer/dekker/1st as my best offer
Please, PM, can we eschew the 'if ... healthy' qualifiers. We're all day-to-day and if you remember Garp, the movie, after the plane hit the house Garp knew the place was perfect. What are the odds of it occurring again? So, DG the pre-owie was aces. Yes, DG the post-owie can be a grand fit here. Brew and the #1? (+ Nugs' #2 back?)
BTW - - with Nugs rise to playoff challenger how does that affect their buy/sell'edness? Their recent trade smellss 'buy', but at best 1st round fodder for Dubs. OK, it's still the p/o's, but...
Haven't seen much of Gallo. How's his defense? Whatever moves we make now should be geared toward shoring up PF defense with at least decent offense.
Well he isn't special. He's average but has extreme length, and for our always switching defense this could be very helpful. He can also defend both 3s and 4s with his mix of size and speed. He become a the ego of our forwards. Ego heavy subs for both guard positions. Well, dg would heavy sub for both forward positions. He is also similar in the aspect, that he can put the ball on the court and drive and create for himself and others. Another secondary playmaking.
Eh, that would be interesting to know...however, for what is worth, Malone after the W aganist the Warriors said that their core is Jokic, Murray, Juancho, Harris (unfortunately), Barton. No mention of Gallo, Mudiay, Chandler, Faried so, unless he just forgot about them, seems like they're all on the trade block, and Gallo is the only one expiring...
My main objective on any trade now is to be a better match up against Memphis or Utah. With the physical nature of the playoffs and the way the officials allow teams to mug Harden in the playoffs our current team construction is a recipe for losing that first round match-up. Unbelievably, I think we are better equipped to compete with San Antonio and Golden State than with Memphis or Utah. If Gallo can help us keep the Memphis and Utah bigs from dominating and contribute on the offensive end I am all for it. I would give 1st, Harrell, and 2 seconds for anybody that fits that bill. I think we need to hang on to Dekker who I believe has more flexibility to play sf or pf in the future and can also spread the floor better than Harrell.
Truer words have never been spoken regarding the day to day status of us all, my friend.. You touch very close to home. : ) And, I love the World According to Garp reference.... As to what it might take, I'm thinking a little more than that.....
