CP3 & JH isn't the perfect fit when it comes to basketball but I believe it will work. I'm more concerned about the locker room. DJ is one of the most liked players in the league, and he can't stand CP3.
Did a quick cap update: We are just about 24.4m short for a max deal for Paul. Logically speaking, you are looking at dumping Anderson and Beverley, although you could sub Anderson for Lou/Gordon. From there you really have to hope someone will accommodate you via trade. I don't know what it is gonna take to get Paul George. And I suppose you could go for a Sign and trade of Milsap, but we would be hurting just to come up with the salary to match. Morey definitely has his work cut out for him.
You have a chance to get a superstar you get him and work out the details later. A r****d couldn't understand this.
Your numbers are good, with one exception. You are still using the "old" roster charge amount under the 2011 CBA (i.e., what the 2017-18 rookie minimum *would have been* if not for the new CBA). The new rookie minimum for 2017-18 is $815,615. That'd put our cap space at just over $9.7 million.
****REMINDER*** Around HOWARD signing time it was a lot rumors that PAUL was coming to Houston with harden and Howard to make a big 3 if they didn't resign Doc rivers. He was going to leave he was done we were the team he was going to leave to go to. He was serious back then, had interest, so is now the time ?
Error on my post, not resign Doc rivers... but get a new coach basically. They got Doc rivers for CP3 and things didn't work out as planned
There really weren't any rumors. Clutch is the one who mentioned this happened after the fact. Was kept low key, but we got the scoop from our fearless leader.
I would rather we went after Paul George and Gordon Hayward. Hayword George Harden That would be a versatile backcourt. Offensively they could compete with golden state. We would still need a change in the front court to really compete with them. Ibaka and capella would go a long way but is it possible?
It will work but I am curious to watch how much JH's assists drop and how much he is moving off the ball. CP3 has become a flopper and a biotch....so yeah.
Yep and you add another big to the core of Harden, Paui and Ariza via a trade and we atleast have a chance. His assists numbers will probaly go in the 7 or 8 range but his points per game numbers will go even higher with Paul here.
Will we need to get Millsap first, in order to convince CP3 to consider us? I don't see him joining us, unless our frontcourt scoring improves.
I like how you used red font - not only does it catch the eye but it's yet another sign that things are really heating up.
As I said we need a big for the pick and roll to go with both James and Paul. If Griffin were ever to stay healthy he would have been the ideal player..
