    So I guess I shouldn't put 5% of my check into a savings account for retirement. I mean, what is a few hundred dollars? A few meals? It does nothing for my ultimate goal.

    You shouldn't put 5% away if in 2 years it's worth 0. Personally why would you want to invest .0005% into anything that has no value when you need it? I mean your portfolio might look slightly better for the next 2 years but if you aren't retiring in 2 years and your aquired asset goes to 0 then your are back to where you were before dumping money down that hole.

    Camby said he wants to play 4 more years. Having a backup center locked down for vet min for 4 years is a win.

    I'm not sure Camby will play for the veteran minimum. Given the market today, I think it's possible he can get a multi-year contract at $3-4mil/yr. But given that he lives in Houston, I'm sure he'll take a bit less to be here. Morey obviously feel he can be resigned at a reasonable price to do what Deke did.
