Oh, yeah. J.R.'s "the goods". Don't know if you've seen the old "Halloween" movies, where Donald Pleasance's Doctor Loomis or whatever his name is goes around shouting about Michael Myers, "He's not human! He's not human!" J.R. isn't Michael Myers (I hope!), but I swear he has an electronic feed right to his brain when it comes to these news scoops.
Woj: If not LA, who gets him? That's still wide open. Indiana is waiting for what they hope is their best offer. Deal they're gonna do, they're not sure they feel they have it yet. They're hoping teams haven't made it yet. Teams are weighing what we should we offer, should we jump in, his worth as a rental, can we convince him to stay? There will be a team or two(maybe more) that comes out of nowhere that gets involved but I can't even begin to predict where he ends up. Possible he stays in Indiana and they reboot these talks later.
Lakers best offer is 27+28+Randell. (#2 & Ingram not available). Can the Rockets beat that offer? What are you willing to give up?
How About: To Rockets: Paul George To Bulls: Patrick Beverley To Indy: Lou Williams Nicola Mirotic Sam Dekker 2017 Chi #1 (pick 16) 2018 Hou #1 Harden / Brown George / Gordon Ariza / Anderson / Harrel Capella / Nene / Onuaku
Why would the bulls trade all that especially the 16th pick for just bev? He is a good fit next to butler and wade but still that's a lot to get rid of just for bev. Very good deal for houston and Indy imo though.
Dont think Bulls give 16 and Miritic for Beverley. Would love to see Eric Gordon stay in Houston, but dont see a realistic Paul George trade that doesnt include Gordon.
Personally i'm not sure about this...i don't think they've that much interest in keeping and paying Mirotic, they were also shopping him all season long...i guess Portis is the guy they like more going forward, and makes sense tbh, he can shoot and he's a better defender than Mirotic, also younger and cheaper...and Pat would be a perfect fit with Butler eventually, cheap, from Chicago...on the other hand i don't think Indiana has any interest in Mirotic though. And i agree with you on EG.
Mirotic is garbage and is nothing more than salary filler. This is essentially Bev for the 16, which I think is fair value. Bev is at the sweet spot of value, 2 years left, underpaid, all defensive team caliber
Changed something around on ESPN trade machine to make it work: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yc3pf4y3 To Rockets: George and Seraphin (could even include Canaan) To Bulls: Beverley, Miles and Allen To Pacers: Gordon, Ariza, Rondo and picks (Bull's 16th and Rockets 2018 1st) Bulls have a strong interest in Beverley. Would fit in very well with Butler and Wade. They would also do this trade to rid themselves of Rondo. Pacers have a strong interest in Gordon. Ariza would be a quick fix placement for George and would be an expiring contract. Rondo is insurance if Teague leaves in FA and is also an expiring contract.
True to Cyber's word, as usual, We're right up there....not the favorites, but right there. Apparently, we're the chatty Cathy of the league, which is how Morey likes to be.
Hearing WOJ was just on podcast and made it seem like LA was in good shape to get him? True? @AnthonyIrwinLA 16m16 minutes ago Per Woj on @TheHerd there’s a “pretty strong motivation” for Indy to get a PG deal done by the start of the draft or by the time it wraps up
Participation medals are for the weak. Either you have have something up your sleeve or youre all talk.
