    The Lakers must keep something to unload Deng contract too, if they trade that package to Indiana they'll be left without assets to dump Deng, and it's not like it will take a couple of 2nd rounders...probably something like Randle and a 1st...

    Dumping a contact isn't hard. Teams that matter never have a problem dumping them. I bet some bad team will take him for a 2050 first lol.

    The league always manages to help the important teams get what they want

    Eh i get what you're saying lol, and i hope you're wrong, but how many teams are out there willing to take a terrible contract like Deng for peanuts? I mean, there's still Sacramento...ok. you're right i guess D:

    Unless George has explicitly told Morey that he refuses to extend with us, I believe we are in the drivers' seat only due to Magic's stupidity and unless Boston enters the race.

    If the best the Lakers can do is #27, #28 and either Randle or Clarkson, we can certainly beat that offer. Even if they offer all 4 of those, I would argue we are desperate enough to top it.
