Because if someone got LAL, MIA, ORL, PHX, etc. Not everyone can select shaq. There can only be one of each player (LeBron, Clyde, Barkley, Ray Allen) for the all stars, then you get great roll players like Horry who has been a part of many squads but can only exist for one person.
ok, then i definitely pick with the pacers, our players suck when they leave the team, so nobody is going to pick them anyway
I'd want to make it randomly assigned to help create a more level playing field, but that's up to the group
I dun want the MavPricks and Jazz. How many we got..... I think there are only 14-15 decent franchises with titles or Conference titles.
So just to refresh Franchise Draft Rules: -8 players/10 players drafted (determined by the brehs) -Only allowed one MVP (If applicable) -Only allowed 3 all-star players (4 or 5 if you do not have an MVP) -Player must have played at least 2 years with franchise -Unlimited all-nba, defensive player, MIP, all-star mvp, etc. -Franchise includes any teams prior to that city (i.e. okc thunder includes Seattle Supersonics, Brooklyn Nets includes New Jersey Nets, etc. INCLUDES ABA TEAMS/PLAYERS where relevant) -For relevancy purposes, cut-off will be any player who played after 1955 ( This was the year when MVP award started) -Must select a coach and their style of play (coach must have coached there for at least 2 years) -Each player will be based on their prime for that team (if your franchise is Sacramento, you will not get Vinsanity, you will get 40 year old Vince Carter) -Once a player has been selected from one franchise, he is not eligible for any other franchises (Shaq with Orlando, LA, MIA) -Either randomize draft order and select our franchise ourselves, or randomize both franchise and draft order and match up draftee with franchise that way.
ok so drafting parameters have been set, judging criteria set (removed fappability). what else? time to recruit brehs for the draft. so far i think we got like 6 confirmed?
Yeah I’d like for us to vote on 8 or 10 players and either 4 or 5 all stars allowed if you don’t have an MVP
My vote goes to the maxim The More the Merrier and MDA 8 men rotation. - 5 Allstars No MVP / if that is allowed those guys with MVPs have superior draft order for 1 Round (No Allstar and No MVP round) to make up for 1 more allstar - 8 players Drafting 10 guys just takes way too long.
Alright roll call so we can know who's participating. @Yung-T @RedNation @oelman44 @Horry33 @Jontro @RedRedemption @DonatasFanboy @Voice of Aus @Plowman @Jmcballer88 @BigMaloe @Jmcballer88 @Von Rafer @VBG @don grahamleone @Jamers @kevC @da_juice @Spooner @IzakDavid13 @kevC @fallenphoenix @daywalker02 @RocketsRed14 @Spooner @LonghornFan @thething @lwqbulb
How about random generator for franchises, no Boston or LA in the list. Maybe we can all come together on a list of like 15-20 and each get one franchise to battle with.
so if i pick Al Jefferson, I get Pacers version of Al Jefferson. Does he still count as an all star because he was an all star elsewhere?
Might as well. I dun really care that much, I might end up with the j*zz franchise. Still would pledge for 4-5 Allstars.
