When we started the reputation feature, it was set up so initially only contributing members could leave feedback (give reputation points) on user's posts. That gave us a good start, but I've wanted all members who have earned reputation on the board to also be able to do that. So while this is a bit overdue, that is a change I just made. If you've earned a certain amount of rep, you get bumped up to the next member class and can also give out reputation. If this is the case with your account, you will see this image () above each post. If you read a post that you think brings quality to the board, please click the feedback button and submit to prop that post. It helps distinguish quality posts and posters. Thanks, Clutch
Nice. I think its a good idea. Does the amount of points these members give out when they rep depend on their post count as well? I have never understand why some users only gice out 1 point and some like DD give 7
Thanks, Clutch. This is a useful tool for spreading reputation. I'll use it wisely. What was weird was going into a thread a few minutes ago and seeing Feedback for every post (not just on my own). At first I thought it was a bug. Good to see that it wasn't. Great change.
it is based off a formula that is weighted by a number of factors, the most important being the amount of rep you currently have...so, basically, the more rep you have the more your rep counts for. I recall Clutch saying that post count factors into it, but am not sure if that is indeed the case.
also to catch up to me woot just noticed the Calvin Murphy status actually its a nice feature to give to reputable members though I would still encourage all who have the means to donate to the site to do so
I didnt notice that Calvin was on 6 dots also...I thought moe had got that when he went to 7. Just checked mine, funnily enough Im at Battier status...hadnt noticed when that happened. probably cause I havent checked my rep points in a while
