This is actually not true. The highest concentration of right-leaning people is the group that has a bachelor's degree only. People's politics move left going both directions on the axis of education.

That is wrong. I had questioned the times he claimed to be so much of a leftist, as there was no clear evidence of that from his posts of his political orientatio. . He, of course, would just claim as part of his posing of having a staggeringly high IQ, that someone unwashed like me just could not follow his posts.

After questioning he seems like a reasonably liberal guy to me. I suspect he would vote Democratic or most likely Green if he deigns to join the masses by voting at all. Most likely he prides himself on being too leftist and sophisticated to vote at all.

Ps it is interesting to note that Rimbaud is capable of writing in a non- cryptic style regarding general political orientation -- at least when talking of Max.

OK, I just found it odd.

I found this online from a book called Guilt, Blame, and Politics by Allan Levite:

Academics, especially in the less worldly areas such as art, literature, and the social sciences, may also be affected by their own remoteness from the mundane environment of production and commerce, as well as by the greater extent to which their erudition separates and shelters them from the rest of the world.

Scholars in the humanities and the social sciences are even further removed from the workaday world than are other academics, and are therefore more likely to favor social leveling.

College students and graduates can be expected to differ in their exposure to guilt according to the extent to which their major field appears to make a needed contribution to productivity. For this reason, such practical credentials as accounting and engineering degrees will usually provide much more protection from guilt than will degrees in art, music, literature, political science, psychology, journalism, law, history, or philosophy.
