Let me be the first to say that Palin is going to appear to tear it up tonite. She's going to read her zingers, get huge applause, and people will pronounce her a conquering hero. Good for her because she had a rough half-week.

The real trouble with Palin will be when she's off the script, I don't know when they'll let her off the leash, it's questionable whether or not they will given the potential for disaster.

Say what you want. By picking Palin, McCain has embraced the fanatical religious right. After Obama destroyed him in his speech, McCain decided his only chance was to totally give in to the evangelicals.
