So lets say hypothetically I downloaded an AVI video clip that has subtitles in it. They don't appear over the actual movie, but in a black band slightly below the actual footage. Is there an easy (even possible) way to remove the subtitles and end up with just the movie? (mainly cause the subtitles are in some foreign language I don't even recognise)
Chances are the AVI was captured or created with the subtitles in it, there is no way to remove them from an AVI without the actual footage that was used to create the AVI. DD
Thanks, that's exactly what I thought. Oh well just have to put up with them I guess. (Hmmm, not a very awe-inspiring 500th post, but I'm halfway there nonetheless!)
would this happen to be the Episode 3 DVD download thats out? It has crystal clear quality, with subtitles, just go in the menu, and turn them off...
you could possibly crop out the subtitles from the movie using virtual dub or another program, but you may need to re-encode the movie again to do so.
