Even more to your point, with both those examples it was actually a mix:

1) Drafted Dr34m, Big Shot Bob, and Cassell but traded for O.T., Kenny, Mad Max, Super Mario and Clyde.

2) Traded for Harden, Ariza, and CP (sorta) but drafted Capela and signed Gordon, LMAM, Green, and Tuckers as free agents.

It is absolutely ridiculous to think there is only one path.

its just constant shortcuts to thinking...

oh you gotta trust 'the process'...

'big men are unplayable in todays NBA...'

'ya gotta shoot tons of 3s...'

its a copycat league... everybody does the same thing - until somebody has success doing something different...

imo most everything in life is situational...

and if the majority of folks are going 1 way - i'm goin the other...

lol!

oh and i'll add 'this player isn't on our timetable...' - as if yer gonna get a whole crop of young talent come to fruition at the same point... as if u dont need a good blend of vets helping guide the youngsters...
