You guys can call him what you want, but I believe Reed is our PG now and in the future.

I love Amen, but he doesn't have the court vision or instincts of Reed.

He is a great shooter who is being mismanaged and under utilized.

He'll put in the work this offseason and I expect him to work heavily on ball handling, strength, and continue his defensive efforts.

It’s still subjective to assume Jalen suddenly plays better in a wide-open offense with Amen. That’s not objectivity—that’s projecting a preferred outcome based on a specific interpretation of the data. Subjectivity isn’t inherently wrong, but having a specific projection for how Amen and Green will develop doesn’t make it objective.

There’s some evidence Green and Amen looked better without FVV, but there’s also evidence FVV and Amen were better without Green and better than Green and Amen without FVV. It is possible that Amen and Green would turn out great, but it requires subjective anaylsis as objectively it did not occur when they were given the chance.

I’m lower on Reed after the last 3 months too, but even with that, the all-in-one metrics still rate him better than Jalen.

You took the objective part out of context. I said I wanted to see them play together in a faster paced offense and if it didn’t work we could then trade Jalen. It was in response to BTG acting like I was a Jalen only fan. I want to see Reed start with Amen the rest of the way. Does that make me a Reed Only Fan?

All opinions are subjective. I believe I look at players and coaches objectively and make a subjective opinion. I look at Amen’s play objectively, and see a guy that is a shot away from superstardom. I also see a guy whose handles have improved and who the dire predictions that he wouldn’t be able to initiate in the half-court are untrue and is an offensive force when he has the ball in his hands. I subjectively believe people that don’t see that, don’t want to see it, because it doesn’t fit their narrative. They think the same about me and the way I access Reed. When it really comes down to it, one group will be more right than the other. My subjective opinion is that if I’m wrong, I’ll eat crow. If BTG and Dobbizle are wrong they will change the subject.

How have you rated Jalen Green objectively if I'm taking that out of context? You definitely aren't a Reed-only fan. I don't think you are a Jalen-only fan. While not completely an Amen only fan, you are pretty close to it. I would never threaten not being a Rockets fan based on speculated trades.

Objectively requires observable facts, evidence, or measurable data. There is very little measurable data that supports Jalen Green as a good player. It takes a very subjective analysis to think he would be good in a situation that he hasn't shown himself to be good at measurably already. Maybe Jalen Green becomes a great player, and the Rockets should have kept him. Solely based on objective analysis on what has happened, he just hasn't proven anything.

To me, subjectively, it looks like you place a lot more value in guys that will make Amen more valuable, even if their total contribution is not much.

Since I think Amen is who you build around, then yes, I put more value in guys that complement his game. Reed being one of them. The argument was with BTG who thinks I want Reed to fail, because I want Amen to be the pg, even though I have consistently said that he, Reed, and Sengun should share the initiation role and sticking him in the dunker spot permanently would be malpractice. I acknowledge that if Amen doesn’t develop a shot, he will fall short of a superstar. Reed only fans object when I say Reed has to develop a dish and drive game and play better defense to become a starting PG. It’s just my opinion. It gets tiring when people call me an idiot for that opinion, that is completely reasonable and has nothing to do with how I feel about Amen.

I hate this mofo. He’s the one that fear the most when we play them.
