John Cena, Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, Peter Capaldi + more, with James Gunn directing. Honestly, if Gunn wasn't attached to this movie, I wouldn't have high hopes for it. But it looks pretty good! DC is 2/2 so far in my book, with the trailer for The Batman.
A reboot of a movie they made about 5 years ago? With actors from the very same cast of the movie they're rebooting?
I don't think it's as much of a reboot as it is a "let's pretend that other one didn't happen and actually make a fun movie" boot-slash-sequel.
I *still* haven't watched the most recent one, but I know I should, and have managed to avoid spoilers too. Last Jedi took the love right out of me.
It's okay with low expectations and high proof liquor. Makes you forget it serves as two ish movies for the discount price of one
It's worth a covid run. I was going to watch the original suicide squad only to remember I did watch it before. Probably spend half an hour on the Harley Quinn movie and see if it's worth playing in the background.
First SS movie wasn't good. I think this one, with Gunn directing, will be great. GotG energy and humor.
Scheduling issues. Idris Elba was cast to replace him as Deadshot, but Elba will instead be playing a different character.
I could never make it through the first movie. Will watch this one and imagine I never saw any part of the first one.
