Biden has told Obama he’s running again

President Biden has told former President Obama that he is planning to run for reelection in 2024, two sources tell The Hill. The admission to Obama is the latest indication that Biden is likely to run for a second term, something the president has spoken about publicly.

During a press conference in Brussels last month, he told reporters he’d be “very fortunate” to run against his rival in the 2020 election, former President Trump.

“[Biden] wants to run and he’s clearly letting everyone know,” said one of the two sources familiar with the conversations between Obama and Biden.

The source also said that Biden, despite his faltering approval ratings, remains the most likely Democratic candidate to defeat Trump. This was a key part of Biden’s salesmanship to voters as he sought support for this 2020 bid — and a big reason primary voters rallied to him in South Carolina and Super Tuesday states where he sealed his status as the Democratic front-runner.

“I believe he thinks he’s the only one who can beat Trump. I don’t think he thinks there’s anyone in the Democratic party who can beat Trump and that’s the biggest factor,” the source familiar with the Obama-Biden talks said.

Joe Biden is almost certainly going to be challenged in the Democrat party primaries, if he does in fact run again.

Who will challenge him, I wonder....

Biden and Trump are just too old and out of touch..... Biden will be 82 years old in 2024 and Trump will be 79 years old.

Biden already defeated Trump once... maybe he does it again, I don't know.... it will be close.

We know that Americans don't like losers, that may be enough for a weak candidate to beat a proven loser like Trump.

Bernie appears to be in, if Joe does not show in 2024:

Bernie Sanders 'has not ruled out another run' in 2024 with open primary: Leaked memo

Sen. Bernie Sanders has not closed the door on a 2024 campaign for the White House, according to a leaked memo.

The Vermont independent, who ran campaigns in the last two cycles and is now 80, "has not ruled out another run for president" in the event President Joe Biden does not seek reelection, according to the memo distributed to allies written by Faiz Shakir, a senior adviser to Sanders.

"In the event of an open 2024 Democratic presidential primary, Sen. Sanders has not ruled out another run for president, so we advise that you answer any questions about 2024 with that in mind," says the memo, according to a Washington Post report Wednesday.

Sanders spokesman Mike Casca told the news outlet that the assertion in the memo was based on a recent poll. “While it’s frustrating this private memo leaked to the media, the central fact remains true, which is that Sen. Sanders is the most popular officeholder in the country,” Casca said.

And there are A LOT of people who believe that Joe will not run again.

Tucker Carlson, on a roll, clearly does not believe that Biden will run again, because his candidacy would be too absurd, even for the Democrats. This is very well done by Tucker. Transcripts at the link:

Tucker Carlson: A Biden Reelection Campaign Is Too Absurd Even For Democrats, Media Is Turning On Him

Where Joe Biden is somehow able to stay in the White House, he would be 86 years old by the end of his second term. Do the math on that. Even now, at 79, past the life expectancy of the average American man, Joe Biden can barely speak English and that is not a trend that will improve with time.

What kind of president would Joe Biden be by the year 2028? You shudder to think about that, though you can bet that more Botox and hair plugs would not improve him. The whole idea is grotesque. Weekend at Bernie's White House Edition. It's an insult to the principle of self-government, but that doesn't mean it's not coming. According to a piece this week in The Hill newspaper, Joe Biden has confided in his old boss, Barack Obama, that he does in fact plan to run for reelection.

Joe Biden believes he is "the only one who can beat Donald Trump," which, if nothing else, suggests that Joe Biden believes he beat Donald Trump the first time. "Hey, guys, I got 81 million votes. Maybe I'll get 500 million next time." So how did Barack Obama respond to that? Well, The Hill newspaper didn't say. We do know that earlier this month, Obama referred to Joe Biden as "vice president," so you can guess.

Obama never hid the fact that he didn't like or respect Joe Biden. Obama thought Biden was fake and incompetent, old, White and annoying, and that was 10 years ago. So, you can imagine how Obama feels about the prospect of an 86-year-old President Joe Biden. Now, Michelle Obama, by contrast, will have just turned 60 by the time the next presidential election rolls around. So clearly it's her turn.

It's not just Obama who feels this way, a lot of Democrats agree. Just for the sake of amusement this morning we tried to find a Democratic Party official who be willing to go on the record to endorse a second Joe Biden candidacy and we couldn't find a single one. Now, keep in mind, these are the same people who are delighted to tell you that you can change your biological sex just by wishing it so, like Dorothy clicking her heels at Oz. Boom, you're transgender now.

They consider that believable. Yet they will not tell you that Joe Biden should be president again. A Biden reelection campaign is just too absurd, even for them. It strains credulity past the breaking point. Joe Biden? Come on.
That's the consensus in Washington tonight and for once it is correct. So given that, now you know what is going on with the news media. Joe Biden's most loyal constituency has turned on him with a vengeance. After getting the mannequin elected, the White House press corps is telling you night after night he's a loser. Why are they saying this? Because they don't want to run again. They know he will lose.

A couple of things. First, Biden did not win. The Democrats stole the election, and that in a particularly obnoxious, in-your-face manner. It is not the same thing, although Democrat leftists are so depraved that they apparently could car less. As a result, the credibility of the election system has been dangerously weakened, but fortunately at least some progress has been made in a number of states in passing and implementing election reforms.

Also, the fact that not a single Democrat leader could be found to endorse Biden running again in 2024 is a sad testimony to the mental state and the incompetency of the current occupant of the White House. Just saying. But at the same time, Joe Biden may very well be right in his contention that the Democrats do not have anyone else to put up who is better.

Pocahontas was asked today on "Meet the Press" if she is running for President in 2024. She says no, as she is confident that Joe Biden will run, and she has no intention of running against him. She is the first person I have seen of any note openly endorsing Joe BIden to be the Democrat nominee again in 2024, which is interesting.

However, it is obvious to thinking, observant people that Joe Biden is on his last legs, mentally speaking, and may not make it to 2024, for one reason or another. If that happens, nobody should be surprised to see Liawatha change her tune.

Democrat voters are not enchanted with Joe Biden to be their candidate in 2024. Only 19% chose Biden in the poll below. One would expect that number to be a rock-solid majority of his own party. But "Not sure" got 28%, which is higher than ANY candidate on the list below.

This is going to be an interesting story to follow in the weeks and months to come. The chances are high that he is not the nominee for the Democrats again in 2024.

Who Do Dems Want In 2024? Right Now, Anybody But Biden: I&I/TIPP Poll

Yes, it’s very early. But if given the choice right now, which Democrats do Americans want to see run for president in 2024? The perhaps not-so-surprising answer emerging from the latest I&I/TIPP Poll seems to be: “Anyone but Joe Biden.”

In our April opinion poll, we asked Americans of all political affiliations across the demographic spectrum “Who do you want to see run for president on the Democratic ticket in 2024?”

Just 19% of those responding answered “Joe Biden, 46th president of the United States.” The rest of the choices were spread among 18 candidates, along with “other” (6%) and “not sure” (28%). Put another way, 81% of Americans don’t want Biden to run again.

Specifically, other names on the list included (in declining order of preference) Vice President Kamala Harris (7%), Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (6%), former First Lady Michelle Obama (6%), former Secretary of State and First Lady Hillary Clinton (4%), former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (3%), and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg (3%).

LOL, what an unbiased polling source...

    RIGHT BIAS

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward conservative causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage conservative causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Right Bias sources.

    • Overall, we rate Issues & Insights Right Biased based on story selection and editorial positions that favor a libertarian/conservative perspective. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to the occasional reliance on poor sources as well as two failed fact checks.

Editorially, all opinions tend to favor a libertarian/conservative perspective. For example, many articles harshly criticize the left such as this No Doubt About It: Democrats Are Part Of The Riot Problem, while frequently reporting favorably on President Trump The Facts About Trump That Are Deadly For Democrats. When it comes to science they sometimes publish misleading information regarding climate change that does not support the consensus such as this: A Short List Of Facts Global Warming Alarmists Don’t Want To Face. Further, throughout the Covid-19 outbreak of 2020, they have offered information that downplays the mortality of the disease The Big Surge In Coronavirus Deaths Is A Media-Fed Myth. In general, news reporting and editorials consistently favor the right, while some information is misleading or false.

It is intellectually quite pathetic, but the two posters you mentioned truly do not appear to know any better. And there are a number of their comrades who post here who are in the same boat.

I know you can see how the interpretation of that poll is intellectually dishonest without even considering the source.
