    I didn't know that people got offfended if you ask them if they are from New Orleans. I was down in Houston in April 2006 and I stopped at this place called "Crescent City Beignets" and asked the owner if they were from New Orleans. They got kinda huffy and said that they were from Houston. I didn't realize they might've been offended by that and figured a place called "Crescent City Beignets" would be run by people from New Orleans.

    FYI. Yes they were black.
