    you may call those variables excuses but they are valid and contribute to a players production.

    You using a 20 game window to supplement your argument is basically the same as him using one game when you're talking big picture. Over the course of his career, Kevin Martin has ALWAYS been regarded as a highly-efficient scorer. For you to use 20 games in which he came back from a BROKEN WRIST (the dude is a SHOOTER), and had no time to gel with his ball-hogging PG is basically the same thing as him using one or two games where he went off. Nobody is saying Martin is gonna shoot 60% from the field, but at the same time, it's pretty outrageous for you to claim that his performance this season could be a "sign of decline." That's just melodramatic.
