Trump has gone to extraordinary lengths to conceal details of his face-to-face conversations with Putin, including on at least one occasion taking possession of the notes of his own interpreter and instructing the linguist not to discuss what had transpired with other administration officials, Trump did so after a meeting with Putin in 2017 in Hamburg that was also attended by Rex Tillerson. U.S. officials learned of Trump’s actions when a WH adviser and a State Department official sought information from the interpreter beyond a readout shared by the Secretary of State. The constraints that Trump imposed are part of a broader pattern by the president of shielding his communications with Putin from public scrutiny and preventing even high-ranking officials in his own administration from fully knowing what he has told one of the United States’ main adversaries. As a result, U.S. officials said there is no detailed record, even in classified files, of Trump’s face-to-face interactions with the Russian leader at five locations over the past two years. Such a gap would be unusual in any presidency, let alone one that Russia sought to install through what U.S. intelligence agencies have described as an unprecedented campaign of election interference. https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...cfd62dbb0a8_story.html?utm_term=.f7f910d9b3a1
Interesting to me that I have yet to hear a single Trumpie attempt to reflexively explain away these revelations about Trump's secretive behavior WRT Pootie-Poot. Usually there's an immediate attempt at a rebuttal when anything unflattering about "Donnie Least" comes out. For amusement purposes only, any of you defenders of The Donald want to try? I do so enjoy watching a good contortionist at work.
Not here, but on another site I frequent I did see one of his conned supporters attempt to defend this. Basically they said that since the media is out to get Trump, he chose to keep these conversations private. Otherwise they would have twisted his words to make it appear he was sympathetic to Russian interests. Edit: Here’s a direct copy/paste of the defense they gave - “He knows that every interaction with Putin or Russia will be heavily scrutinized. People would take their conversations and do everything they could to twist it and make a scandal out of it. He deals with enough made up scandals almost daily. Therefore, he is likely trying to avoid any more made up negative coverage.”
Interesting, do you think that trump came out with this after the general criticism he received after avoiding a direct answer during his fox news/judge pirro interview?
What is not normal, is that Trump is lying yet again and could be a Russian Asset. It is not that the President gets asked the question and feels he needs to answer it. Fox News kept asking Obama about his birth certificate ... It is not normal that most people can not rule it out as a possibility.
So if Trump is a Russian agent, why is he being friendly with Putin? Wouldn't that make him the most obvious mole in existence?
Because he isn’t very smart. I thought that was obvious. Trump walks through life as if he can just lie his way through it, and people will believe him. And sadly it seems that he is correct with a minority of Americans. It seems no matter how much he lies, some people are willing to suspend reality in order to back him. It’s mind boggling and frankly embarrassing. Some people try to hedge their bets by saying that they aren’t Trump supporters, but just agree with whatever idiotic policy he is currently pushing. Then those same people spend hours and hours defending (supporting) Trump and expect people to believe them when they say they don’t like him. Or they post articles that seem to always be pro Trump, but make sure to point out that they still aren’t “Trump Supporters.” I can’t comprehend how people can defend him. He is so obviously a terrible person, doesn’t have conservative values and is making a mockery of the Office of the President. I mean if George W. Bush or Obama did a quarter of the things he has done, or God forbid were being investigated for being in the pocket of one of our main foreign adversaries, I can’t imagine the outrage. But people just keep supporting and making excuses for Trump, while blabbering on about “Trump Derangement Syndrome” as if people disagreeing with and having a problem with a President who is unfit for office deserves a label. It’s should be called “Critical Thinking Ability,” because that would more appropriately summarize things. It really seems like a Truman Show experiment where the creator of the show keeps having the President be more and more ridiculous to see how much people can take. It’s crazy.
I don't know... maybe our close ally Germany deserves an ambassador that is harsher on russia than on Germany?
From the Steele dossier: ———————- Source B asserted that the TRUMP operation was both supported and directed by Russian President Vladimir PUTIN. Its aim was to sow discord and disunity both within the US itself, but more specifically within the Transatlantic alliance (NATO) which was viewed as inimical to Russia’s interests. ———————— It’s interesting how much of the dossier is proving to be accurate. Maybe there is a pee tape after all.
Agree... both on the proven accuracy of the "dossier" and on the possibility that such a tape exists. After all, it appears there is a "d!&k pic" that is being kept secret by the investigation and courts...
