He does have a point. The Pistons aren't going anywhere. They definately are improving.

They were not what they were before, which was a dominant team.

you mean the Bulls? sure, but they were 18-9. Non-dominant =/= non-dominant.

If I had to guess, Pistons are probably ~35 win team next year. Their owner promised playoffs, which is probably not happening. But they won't be a high lotto team either.

Parsons would start on half the teams in the league? No way.

    LeBron James
    Kevin Durant
    Carmelo Anthony
    Paul Pierce
    Rudy Gay
    Danny Granger
    Luol Deng
    Gerald Wallace
    Andre Iguodala
    Josh Smith
    Shawn Marion
    Michael Beasley
    Metta World Peace
    Danilo Gallinari
    Nicolas Batum
    Caron Butler
    Grant Hill
    Rashard Lewis
    Tayshaun Prince
    Corey Maggette
    Marvin Williams
    Trevor Ariza
    Mike Dunleavy

Which one of those guys would he be starting over? I think every one of those guys starts over Chandler Parsons. That is 23 guys. So he may be COMPETING for a starting job on 7 teams.

The Pistons are a declining team. Bobcats= Current Astros

i don't follow baseball (i'm from Europe), i'll assume Astros means horrible.

The Pistons aren't declining. They are very young and they weren't horrible last year. Next year, they are likely to be better. Greg Monroe is already arguably better than any player the Rockets had the last 3 years.

The Houston Astros are a very young team. They basically traded away all of their best players for young talent... and it hasn't worked out for them yet. They are in last place this year.

but who cares. are you expecting the Rockets to even be in the playoffs? if not, then i don't see your argument here.

the Bulls were 18-9 without Rose last season. even if Rose misses full season, they won't be horrible (and he's scheduled to get back in January, even if not the same dominant player).

    Here is your argument:
    the Bulls = non-dominant
    the Rockets = non-dominant
    therefore, the Bulls=the Rockets

    Hardly.

Anyone who puts players like Rashard Lewis and Maggette over Parsons is not even worth arguing with.

Totally agree.....in addition he doesn't even debate any of my other points. It is as if he just wants to argue for the sake of arguing. Typical Clutchfans.

    PER 36 MINUTES:

Chandler Parsons: 12.0 pts 6.0 rebounds

Shawn Marion: 12.6 pts 8.7 rebounds
Michael Beasley: 17.9 pts 6.9 rebounds
Metta World Peace: 10.3 pts 4.6 rebounds
Rashard Lewis: 10.7 pts 5.4 rebounds
Corey Maggette: 19.6 pts 5.1 rebounds
Marvin Williams: 13.9 pts 7.1 rebounds
Trevor Ariza: 11.8 pts 5.7 rebounds
Mike Dunleavy: 16.9 pts 5.1 rebounds

    He may start over some..

What I said was that the Bulls would lose more games this year than previous years because the reports on Rose are that he will be out till March.

I do not expect the Rockets to be in the playoffs because they are in the West, but they will win about 40 games and will be better than 12 of those teams that I listed. I expect them to be in the playoffs the following season.

If you define who should start based on who scores more points PER 36 minutes without regard to Defense, FG%, offensive system, role of the player on the team etc then you need to step up ur game with regards to understanding the NBA.

According to your logic Kevin Martin would be one of the 5 best players in the league because his career scoring avg PER 36 is off the charts.

And yes you are right he would start over some.....so basically he would start on about half of the teams in the league. Not so absurd anymore eh....

well, I see the Rockets as a strong contender for a top 3 pick, and the Bulls as a 45 win team even if Rose misses full year. So I suppose we are mainly miles away on how we perceive the Rockets' talent level.
