He did apologized to him later.

Bynum is immatured at times but has a lot of heart. He played with a torn meniscus and delayed the surgery after Lakers championship run. Not many players will take a chance of a possible career ending injury these days. That was all heart!

We'll be about 25th and the Rapturs will be about 20th (both barring injury) giving us the 5th and 10th picks if we don't get into top 3 with either.

If anyone thinks we are going to be a solid team with all this youth then you are in denial. Take the team for what it's worth and just root for your team. It's going to be a tough season but could be fun at the same time watching our young guys become something.

The oldest guy on our team right now I think is Martin who is 29. The rest are a bunch of kids that will have to adjust to the game. I'm looking forward to it because I want to see what we can develop.

    It isn't really a joke...

The Rockets got rid of all of their best players in favor of a team full of rookies and unproven players.

They have some good talent, and some good potential, but they are unproven. This next season is RIGHT NOW. It isn't the future. You can't rank a team for this upcoming season based on their potential 3 years from now.

How is this team right now? It would be hard to justify the team being much higher than 28th if you were giving concrete reasons as to why you feel that way.

Half of the Rockets have never even played an NBA game. Another group of them have never started consistently in the NBA. Lin has only started like 30 games in the NBA.

The Rockets only have ONE guy who has consistently started in the NBA, and that is Kevin Martin.

So it isn't crazy to rank them so low on the list.

Then after Martin, the next oldest player is 26 years old.

    This team is crazy young.

    The starting lineup would be:

    Lin (23)
    Martin (29)
    Parsons (23)
    Patterson (23)
    Asik (26)

And then your backups are pretty much all rookies:

    Lamb (20)
    Jones (20)
    Motiejunas (21)
    Morris (22)

Teams that Rockets should be bether than right now....

    Charlotte
    Toronto
    Milwaukee
    Detroit
    Cleveland
    Orlando
    Washington
    Atlanta
    Phoenix
    Golden State
    Sacramento
    New Orleans

    Thats 12 teams right there.

Chicago without Rose for most of the year will struggle.
Portland, Denver and Utah could stay middle of the road teams or could easily tank.

You can't tell me that 28th is a good ranking.

Orlando? Phoenix? Atlanta? Chicago without Rose will "struggle"?

No way the Rockets are better than any of those teams I listed..

IMO, only the Bobcats are clearly worse.

It will depend on health, chemistry, etc. For instance, New Orleans could be much worse than the Rockets if Eric Gordon remains injured for most of the year.

Every year a couple teams fail on health or chemistry and end up tanking. That will happen this year too.

But overall, I don't know how you can make a good case for "12 teams" if you look at talent without bias.

I think 28th is a generous ranking based on the fact that the Rockets have been an overachieving team (compared to talent) for several years now.

Talent-wise, they shouldn't be above the Pistons.

In my opinion a guy like Lin vs. Dragic is almost a wash. They are both players that played well in limited minutes. Both have some risk and upside.

Martin scored nearly 24 points a game the year before last......if you don't consider that a top 10 SG then we can stop this discussion right now.

Parsons would start on half the teams in the league meaning he is a decent starter that will continue to get better.

All I said was that Asik is the best center we have had since Yao which holds true yet you bring up Mutombo for no apparent reason. Who was our center last season.........and how many games did we end up winning?

Many of you bring up the rookies yet our starting lineup will not have any rookies at all.

    Lin
    Martin
    parsons
    Patterson
    Asik

Lin, Martin, and Asik are all above average players at their respective position. Throw in the fact that players like Donuts and Lamb can be solid contributors off the bench and you still think we are as bad as the Bobcats and Pistons?

    Highly doubtful.

Orlando... without DH12 they will stink.
Phoenix? Have you seen their roster? Best players are Scola and Dragic
Atlanta.... no more Joe Johnson and the roster is falling apart
Chicago without Rose... You must not of saw the playoffs.

first of all, someone needs to explain why are the Pistons being mentioned in the same breath as the Bobcats.

Just because Andre Drummond is not ready? He will be like their 8th best player, if even that.
All they need him to do is block a couple shots, which he is capable of. Nothing else matters.

I can agree that the Rockets will probably be better than the Bobcats.
But the Pistons are both more talented and experienced overall.

Nobody is comparing Bobcats with Pistons. Pistons are a middle of the road team.

    did they trade Gortat?

so they lost Joe Johnson, and they'll go from a .600+ team (~50 wins) to the current Rockets level, which is what, 30 wins or less?

    You are overrating Joe Johnson.

did you see regular season? they were pretty good without Rose.
Also, Rose is projected to come back in January.
They are no title contenders. But they'll probably make the playoffs.
