Well I went to the game tonight, and I already drove back to austin so I can go to 6th street and drink away my frustrations. If this thread should move to hangout-please do so....whats everyone elses plan for this awful saturday night?!??!
Personally I'm gonna try to forget the game, and not watch games 5, 6 or 7. I figure I'll save myself and ulcer or a heart attack, and maybe live to see next season.
I think that no team will loose 3 in a row in this series so I guess its the Rockets turn to win. I mean...what the hell...they played well enough to win games 3 and 4 its just that at times they make stupid mistakes and simply break down...if they can work on that they should have no problems winning. And someone needs to file a complaint and send in a tape to the NBA about the referees and how they call the game. If Yao can be slapped like he is some b**ch in a p*rn movie then the same should apply to Dirk Flopwitzki but no...if you dare and breathe too hard in his direction the officials will blow the whistle.. Damn..I wish it was Monday already to get game 5 over with.
NBA officials have always had their favorite floppers. Karla Malone, Laura Bird, Vladette Divacs and Reggie Miller to name four. I remember reading an interview with Larry Bird saying the worst thing about the NBA was that he could jump into anyone guarding him to create the contact, and be guaranteed a call and two points. Dirk is the latest in a long line of players who get away with this crap. It makes the NBA tough to watch. Then there are players like Yao, that can be stationary for a week, and have a player slam into them and be guaranteed to get a foul call. There are at least 3 categories at work here: 1. Floppers - get calls their way for acting (Karla, Reggie, Dirk) 2. Chosen Ones- get calls anytime they miss a shot (Jordan, Bird) 2. Chosen Hackers - get no fouls called on them (Shaq) 3. Hated/unrespected - get all calls against them (Yao / nonames)
