Great post! Rockets definitely peaking at the right time with much more room for improvement. For total playoff success, we need to have all parts working like a machine. In 1995, there were a lot of struggles (7 elimination games!). By the time that Rockets faced Orlando, the latter encountered a well-oiled machine. This Rockets team needs a breakout like the 1995 team, not there yet, but I have confidence this year, more than any other year.
Good stuff. Shows the continual and constant improvement as the season went on and we got healthier and deeper.
After all star break, 10-15 seeds rest players west, 11-15 seeds rest players east. Every playoffs teams said they have improved.
He came back 1/18. He has played 26 out of 31 games. Over that span they are, 3rd in offense at 114.2 8th in defense at 108.1 5th in net at 6.1 For comparisons sake, we can use that same data start point and see how much we have continued to improve. Since 1/18 we have played 33 games at the following, 2nd in offense at 114.5 12th in defense at 108.8 6th in net at 5.7 So down they stretch this all shows a correlation of us improving and getting better and more rounded as the season ends. Whereas GSW is actually faltering down the end with the following after the all star break, 8th in offense at 112.1 8th in defense at 108.2 7th in net at 3.9 . . . . . So we are trajecting upward while gsw are trending downward. We can downplay it and give excuses like coasting or not trying but the numbers say they are slipping down the stretch.
Rockets have best record in NBA vs other playoff teams post all star break. 7-2 EDIT: Also, our only 2 losses to playoff teams are the #1 seeds.
we do? I'm guessing people frustrated with Shumpert? I thought he had been playing really great D the last few games...
