Trump lying is a psychological problem, he is a pathological liar, but we elected him president of the United States, Go USA!
But... but that would mean trump lied? yea, I know... Trump Doesn’t Have Recordings of Conversations With Comey, Source Says https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...t-have-recordings-of-conversations-with-comey
Even if he did, he have already destroyed them, I know I would have before the congress asked for them.
This man is such a shameful blight on our history and I can't believe how many people are still carrying water for him. Wouldn't it be easier, and more becoming of the office of the president, to have Mike Pence be there instead? For everybody who was jumping down the throat of James Comey: how does it feel to have been played by this carnival barker for the umpteenth time? Does your brain hurt after all of the mental gymnastics you contort yourself into to stand by this buffoon?
LOL... learned a new acronym... "fml". But seriously, excluding people like kellyanne and pence, it must be annoying dealing with trump...
And with every Trump lie, there are his supporters that will defend, no matter how bad it makes them look...
There is a possibility that Trump actually believed that there might be some sort of recording device around the White House that would have caught their conversations. He asked for the "secret recordings", everyone told him they don't exist, he didn't believe them and tweeted what he tweeted. He still hadn't lost all hope at the time of the interview, but now he has. No matter the explanation, though, it just shows that he's in way over his head.
Trump lying about the non-existent tapes Spicer being required to speak on the tapes: Huckaby Sanders being required to speak about the tapes: Other unnamed white house spokespeople Newt Gingrich having to justify Trump's lies about the tape:
Trump's spokespeople are in continual cover-up mode. In most cases, they're covering for his self-exposed lies, but in some cases for his naivety/stupidity. In this scenario, had Spicer said, "the president is an idiot and he believes that the White House is bugged and we still haven't convinced him otherwise," he would have been fired. Huckabee would have been too if she said that the president should regret it. All of the people around him are professional babysitters that have to enable him while protecting him else lose their jobs. No other possibility makes any sense. No way that they did exist and now they don't because they've all been destroyed. And I really doubt that he believed that he could bluff his way to Comey's silence. So him actually believing that tapes did exist is the only possibility that makes sense to me.
Seems like they've timed this admission with the senate health care bill. I don't know if they were hoping Trumpcare would distract us from the tapes, or the tapes would distract us from Trumpcare. But, they apparently think we can't juggle 2 ideas at a time.
don't care about the tape; nothing new revealed - we already know that Trump mouth run afoul and it's just a distraction
Appears the gap between Comey believers and Trump believers is widening. And I'd guess that gap will increase further in light of Trump's admission he lied about the tapes... Poll: More Americans Believe Comey Over Trump http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/poll-more-americans-believe-comey-over-trump-n776006
Here is an interesting list of his lies to date... T r u m p ’ s L i e s Many Americans have become accustomed to President Trump’s lies. But as regular as they have become, the country should not allow itself to become numb to them. So we have catalogued nearly every outright lie he has told publicly since taking the oath of office. This is a nice source for deternining credibility.
