You're being too generous. I'm struggling to think of even 5 teams in the NBA who (when healthy) would start Fred.
Fred is still pretty young but he plays like a 35 year old......a good vet but slow, short, cannot finish in traffic. SGA and Castle look like giants next to him. He sure does not represent the modern NBA.
Ime will want Giannis because he defends and can create his own shot. Tilman will want Giannis to sell tickets. It works on a number of levels.
I don't think that was in the cards - unless they were prepared to offer a first round pick to make it happen. I wouldn't have given a #1 for it either. Also - Tari for White does not work. Tari and Capela doesn't work. Financially it was either Tari and one of Reed / Amen or just DFS but again, to move off of his contract was going to cost a premium - a #1 pick at the very least. Amen and Reed are not going out in that situation. To say they could have done this is unreasonable.
You got to trade.....Sengun! Everything Ive said, they are saying! Sengun slows down the offense and his archetype is Sabonis
This is where I think people go wrong. Why can't we have a short timeline with Amen and a shorter one with Durant - you'll have ~$55m to replace him with the following offseason. Both can be done. Amen isn't suddenly going to suck because KD retired and right now, KD is still one of the 6-10 best players in the game.
I thought how the team performed in this year's playoffs would determine Udoka's standing. But the built-in excuse of having lost FVV and Adams probably give him some immunity. I think if Stone is in his job, Udoka's job is probably secure, unless Tilman pressures him to up the game and he might have to put the knife on the head coaching job. But it seems that Tilman has lost interest in the team. So who knows.
I wonder how the situation would look if FVV didn't get injured but instead it was Durant who missed a big chunk of the season.
I think the Spurs have made the jump nobody expected, I do think both are really good but the odds that Kevin can win one here are slimmer by the minute.....sans a Giannis trade without giving up much....... People on here are overlooking how difficult it is to even get to the point of escaping the West. Sure, a WCF Appearance is always on the horizon, I doubt Durant will be satisfied as his OKC had plenty of WCF Exits back in the day....I give the Spurs the 2nd best odds to win the West right now and in the near future, heck, they might be even better than OKC in 2 years or next year.
What a bunch of crap from a Jalen Stan, Sabonis wishes he would be Sengün.......Sengün's worst season is close to Sabonis' best season.... You meant surely Arvydas Sabonis......and Pau Gasol....yeah those were better. Lmao! That should tell you everything........the thing is that the Rockets might not be a good enough organization to use Sengün.
FYI, if KD opts out or retires the year after next, it will not create cap space to replace him. We’re set up to be far enough into the tax that deleting his $46M doesn’t put us below the cap by much, if at all. The only way to replace that salary slot will be to trade it at some point before he retires or opts out.
The Spurs lucked out with Wemby. That should have been Houston. We got ****ed with Cade and Wemby. It is what it is I guess.
