for me i have a few core one's then some i add now and then for a while, try em out.... 1. All Songs Considered - great programs and certainly give you a great glimpse of new releases 2. Dave Dameshek - a homer but amusing and has some good guests 3. Live Concerts All Songs Considered - amazing range of live concerts 4. BS Report - better as a podcaster than a writer, good guests 5. The new Adam Carolla show - recently fired from his radio show, just this week started his new podcast from home, great stuff from the ace man so far Smeg
I listen to the basketball jones sometimes. I wish they would just talk less about the raptors (they are from Toronto) .
Sarcastic Gamer (Blue Show) - PS3 talk and the guys are from Houston. ESPN NBA Today - NBA talk updated pretty regularly. Its decent, but typical ESPN stuff. The Economist - Keeping up with current events. NPR Talk of the Day - Current events and whatnot. Slacker Astronomy - Nerdy astronomy podcast. Thats pretty much it, but there's always room for more. Curious to see what everyone else is checking out.
Looks like both NPR's music podcasts have already been mentioned, which are pretty freakin sweet But the other two I listen to are Diplo's podcast known as MadDecent Radio. They pretty much discovery the street music from around the world. Some of it is amazing.... some... not so much. The other is Stones Throw Podcast. Just indie hiphop
Carolla's new podcast from home (used to listen to the KLSX show with T and BB) Dameshek on Demand Bill Simmons Dan Levy Tony Kornheiser Show (RIP) ATH/PTI
I listen to tons of podcasts but my favs are the naked scientist the brain science podcast books and ideas slate businessweek real time with bill maher TWIT Buzz out loud- though not as much without Molly Wood Washington Week/ G Ifill and maybe one of worlds best resources, MIT Open Courseware.... I have hundreds of hours things to listen to at all times.... It's odd that I don't listen to music that much anymore but instead listen to lectures. That has got to be why I'm so popular with the ladies.
The only ones I regularly listen to are SModcast and TWIT. In the past, I've listened to the Official Lost podcast, and some of the Creative Screenwriting ones and KCRW's The Business and The Treatment.
i regularly listen to the following that really can't be considered podcasts even though they're in podcast form. here's what i put on my ipod every morning: pti countdown various newshour segments nba today tirico and van pelt rachel maddow college basketball today democracy now i typically only get to about three or four of them a day though. always the first two.
Shields and Brooks Weekly Morey 610 interview (featuring Ocho Texto) Rockets Power Hour with Matt Bullard Washington Week McLaughlin Group It's all Politics (NPR) Slate's Political Gabfest NPR Talk of the Nation Common Sense/Hardcore History with Dan Carlin Meet the Press Countdown
Phil Hendrie - there's a guy who posts all of his old classic bits from 98-2001. Dave Ramsey What is the best place to search for podcasts besides iTunes? They're great for riding the bus, but I need more.
I stopped listening to the sports podcast shorty after trade deadlines. Was more keeping a look out for trade rumors. Now I just listen to the gaming and comics industry and youtube. I used to be a WoW junkie but still like to listen to the podcast (the instance). YouTube has all the biggest viewed vidoes. Comedy Central has some quick clips (dane cook....that dont shoot the messenger guy) and G4.
1.) 120 Minutes with Jick and Mr. Skullhead - I'm a big Kingdom of Loathing player. This is the Jick and Skully radio show. 2.) NPR: Science Friday - Good and sciencey. That's a word. Sciencey. 3.) NPR: Thislepod - I love Celtic music. I love The Thistle & Shamrock. What does disappoint me is that this is just snippets of music. That's why I listen to... 4.) Irish and Celtic Music Podcast 5.) ROCKETSCAST - Duh. 6.) Houston Athletics Podcast - UH Cougars sports podcast. Awesome. 7.) IndieFeed - Pick any of 'em. Indie pop is my favorite. 8.) Engines of Our Ingenuity Podcast - KUHF produced, goes on NPR all the time.
Looking for some help. i'm basically a podcast virgin. so i go to sportsradio 610 and trying to download some older podcasts such as the "drexler clubbing seals" segment. i'm using Itunes. the problem is every time i click on the podcast link under that segment, and save the link to Itunes, Itunes ALWAYS downloads the latest podcast instead. well, i dont want the latest segment. what i am doing wrong?
