I disagree on Cam Johnson. This team needs shooting in the worst way and it hurts the Nets which in turn helps the Rockets. The Nets have 0 control of their picks for the next 4 seasons. Crash and Burn
No to Harden, Kyrie and especially Brooks. Yes to the rest of the list AND Cam Johnson. Bring in high character, quality team players that can shoot and defend. You have the opportunity to build something special. Don't fk it up by adding "win now" dudes, when this squad is so young and even adding a couple of FA's still will not be a contender. Get a couple of dudes that meet those standards, that are still young and fit with the timeline of this group and continue to grow. Let Udoka mold the team. Because Stone might not have a clue.
I think trying to make a deal with Boston for White is a legit possibility. Not sure about Smart given that I don’t think Boston wants to break up their core, but I’d feel pretty good having White starting at PG. Probably a better value proposition than overpaying Harden or FVV. It would be very interesting to call the Lakers’ bluff on Reaves. Getting a restricted free agent by only giving up cap room gives me a warm feeling inside. Like how Dallas must have felt snatching Chandler Parsons from us when Parsons was good. Cap experts; help me out! Can and will the Lake show match 4yrs $100 mil for Reaves? And are the Nets more likely to match a big contract offer for Cam than the Lakers for Reaves?
