[Philadelphia Inquirer] Moreyball is terrible

It would have to be a bobblehead with the Morey pose, chair and everything. Maybe instead of bobbling they can just make it swivel like Zoolander doing Blue Steel.

 

All things considered that article could not be more wrong. It is almost like he tried to bring everything that could be thrown back in his face regarding the sixers and rockets.

Is there another article where he agreed with Iverson's practice rant and is now backtracking after the realization that practice is useful.

When they hired Hinkie, he was attacked all over twitter. He basically did a 180. This was awhile ago, clutch even tweeted about it.

I remember this little episode pretty vividly. He actually came on the radio here to go a bit deeper into his thought process. I haven't listened to the interview since it aired live (Oct 17, 2012) but I think I will have to give it another shot. I do recall he had serious, serious doubts as to the future career of Royce White which, in his defense, have proven to be accurate. Ironically for him he is now on the 76ers so this whole chain of events is just pure gold.

To be fair, if Dwight Howard didn't choose to sign in Houston we'd be seeing the same articles popping up now

 

Not really...we landed Harden. If not Howard, we would have had some other good players to fill out the roster either this year or next. In the end, Moreyball worked because the accumulation of assets gave us trading power and salary cap flexibility.

I remember that interview thanks for posting it again. I had forgotten how upset I was hearing that the first time around.
